mewithoutYou are one of those bands that I've always respected, always listened to, but they've never truly crossed over into one of the "staples" of my collection band. By that I mean, they never were a "go to" band for me when I didn't know what to listen to. Their new album is changing that for me. I find myself craving to listen to it ... I find myself humming the melodies and Aaron's unique delivery throughout the day. Since I've never been a huge die-hard fan of the band, I can't really say what I think fans of the band are going to think about it ... however, I can say that I'm really impressed - and I am loving what they're doing.
It's different enough that it stands out - but accessible enough that I'm finding myself returning to it each day. | | |
