I guess this is growing up...

I feel the same way when it comes to music and people. The rest.. I don't know yet, I'm only 18.

I have been reading and following your blog for years via rss feed as I love your writing. I always look forward to your posts. I really do not come on here much anymore and your points are just some of the reasons why I am no longer drawn to the rock,alternative, "band" scene. I signed in here just to respond to your post because I too felt what you are feeling a few years ago. I have converted to listening to dance music (the EDM music scene) and it has changed my life forever. I have never looked back. The community is full of amazing people who LOVE the music and everyone is oozing PLUR (peace, love, unity, respect). Yes, i do live in NYC and all of the great DJ's/Producers come here so I am spoiled, but no matter where you are you can experience it. The connection to the music, dj, and crowd is exactly what you are seeking. You can start by listening to the music, but going to a live show is really where it sinks in and you "get it".
