...But I just want definitive empirical proof that aliens exist. But I don't want to be the only one who knows it or any conspiracy shit like that; I want all that we think we know about the universe as the human civilization to be turned topsy turvy because of a widespread dissemination of the unassailable fact that other sentient species exist throughout the galaxy who are carrying on cosmic affairs without us and have been since before the first human being lit a fire. And I want this to be true.
I don't think that is all that much to ask!
