I was hoping you'd post a show review about this...I'm sure you had a blast. It amazes me how Rancid can play the same songs for 20 years and still show the same enthusiasm for their music!

What a wonderful show. Blink far exceeded my expectations. Gabel's statement is entirely true.

Yeah, it's hard to believe Tim's 45 now because he most definitely doesn't act it. And thanks! There's no way I would have missed reviewing this, haha. Alex did a great job, but aside from Blink this was an entirely different experience.

Nice review! This is a hard lineup to beat, in my opinion. The Rancid set looks pretty great to me. Outta My Mind and St. Marry jump out as the biggest surprises to me. Only song I have heard off the first self titled is Hyena. St. Mary would also have been great to hear live. Add one or two more from 2000 and She's Automatic and I would be set.

Thanks for the shout out! But your review was great too. Glad you shared many of my sentiments. I won't complain about mine, but you certainly got a cool line-up. I've only ever seen part of Rancid at Warped; I really need to change that soon. Plus you got "When You Fucked Grandpa!"

damn, i enjoy MCR but i wouldn't mind getting this line-up. also, im disappointed they aren't playing adam's song either but I'm just fucking ecstatic to see blink in less than 2 weeks!

anyone else notice the little boy playing guitar beside Travis the whole set?

As a girl who barely has any muscles, I just don't feel safe, haha. At smaller shows, people tend to look after each other, but in arenas they just trample them until security drags them out. Last time I saw Blink too many people were carried out in stretchers and that kind of ruined the experience for me because I was worried I'd be next. I have nothing against people who have a good time in there though, it's just not for me personally.

And thanks! I was wondering if they added those songs in as the tour went along.

I'm dumb and don't know how to multiquote with blog posts. But I did notice they were setting up a fourth smaller mic stand and I wondered why. Then they moved it, I think to Tom's side of the stage? I was on Mark's side so I didn't really see or notice from that angle. Maybe it was one of their kids? They definitely didn't introduce him.

nice review! the closer i get to my honda civic tour date (about a week away now), the more excited i'm about it.

Travis's kids always come up beside his drum set now and hang out. His son even tries to replicate Travis' playing and at points Travis allows him to hit some things. If it was a kid playing guitar it might be Mark's kid because I think they are on the road with him.

I don't really listen to Rancid or Blink anymore (still love Against Me) but this would have been a great show to see.

Glad you got such a cool lineup. And as I always think when I read something of yours, I wish you wrote more.
