unemployment and airplanes
03/16/09 at 07:41 AM by beth danger | Getting cut back to part time at work is fantastic and awful, all at the same time. I really enjoy all the extra time that I have, especially now that it's getting warm out. I'm taking the time to paint again, which I haven't done in months. And I'm collecting unemployment for the hours I miss, so it's not a total bust.
On the downside, I love my job, and I hope the business doesn't go under. It turns out that designing graphics for airplanes is the perfect job for me, and prospects aren't looking good right now for finding something else.
Jeez, who knows? Life is frustrating sometimes. I just need some job security so Brian and I can buy the Honda Fit we've been eying.
Looking forward to St. Patty's day and Irish car bombs, plus seeing a friend's band play in town. Should be a fun night. | |
