Just Getting Started

I am surprised at how much I like Metallica's new material, especially after the disaster St. Anger was. Seeing how disappointed I've been with some of my favorite bands' new albums this year (Weezer, Millencolin, The Offspring), it's nice to see a sleeper hit come out of it.
I'm also a little surprised I like new Gym Class Heroes ... didn't think I'd like it at all. Sure, it's lost that organic sound I enjoyed on their first disc ... but the hooks are still very magnetic (lol, i c wut i did).
Keep an eye out for some "very special reviews" soon: Diffuser (which I've been having writer's block on for a month now), Tourmaline, Punchline and House of Heroes. Plus a whole lotta "Onceover" reviews of Ellington, Scars on Broadway and Unwritten Law (just to name a few).
