My Mother, Email and Her Fear of the Future
09/19/08 at 12:07 PM by Julia Conny | Let me start by saying that my family has a long history of Democratic desires. Even if I think really hard, I can't think of a single family member that is a staunch Republican, or even a casual one. That said, in addition to our more liberal showcases, my family is mostly led by strong women, especially on my mom's side. And they all hate Palin. Scared to death of her. Understandable. It's got my mom and my grandmother running so nervous that the amount of statements I get encouraging me to vote and convince my friends to vote is astonishing. My mom even decided to volunteer for the Obama campaign, and this is someone who was for Hilary in the beginning stages. It's partly inspiring and sometimes amusing, and to encourage the entertainment, I send her whatever linkage and videos I come across as I browse the Web. This is something I found that made her laugh/shake in her boots some more. I have a feeling she then forwarded it to my grandma.
