| | My Influences |
Because I like to make lists to disctract me and keep me busy, here are some songs, albums, and bands that influenced me.
Bassists that inspired me to play bass:
Chris Wolstenholme - When I first heard Hysteria, I think I almost shat myself. When I heard that song I instantly wanted to start playing.
Pete Wentz - I really loved the bass on Take This To Your Grave (mostly on Reinventing The Wheel To Run Myself Over). Not only that, but he seemed like the coolest dude ever. Though, to be honest, I thought he was the lead singer too at the time.
Matt Rubano - He plays bass for my favorite band, so of course he would influence me in some way. The bass on New Again (the album) is sleek and SEXEHHHH.
Bands as a whole that made me want to write music:
Taking Back Sunday - I love every song and know all of the words. Where You Want To Be is my favorite album of all time. I think that would be enough reason to make me want to make music.
The Sound Of Animals Fighting - I fucking love The Tiger and The Duke. When I saw We Must Become The Change We Want To See, it made playing in a band look like the most badass and fun thing you could possibly do.
My favorite songs of all time:
One Eighty By Summer - Taking Back Sunday
A Decade Under The Influence - Taking Back Sunday
Saturday - Fall Out Boy
She Doesn't Get It - The Format
Act II: All Is Ash or The Light Shining Through It - The Sound Of Animals Fighting
My favorite album of all time:

| | | NEW AGAIN Semi-Review |
I suck asscock at reviewing things, but I figured I would give it a shot. Here's a track by track review...
New Again - A pretty good opener. It's no Set Phasers To Stun or You Know How I Do, but I really enjoy it. Fazzi's vocals really shine. 8/10
Sink Into Me - A really fun, poppy song. One of my favorites. This will end up being on their live setlists for ever show they do from now on, and I don't have any problem with that. 9/10
Lonely, Lonely - I love the intro to this song. ITZ TOTES HXC. The chorus has been stuck in my head since I first heard it. Fazzi's backround vocals are at their best on this song. 9/10
Summer, Man - My favorite song on the album, I think. It reminds me a little bit of FUCT era Fall Out Boy. It's insanely catchy, and I can see myself listening to this song all day long. 10/10
Swing - My second favorite. Another song where Matt Fazzi's vocals blow me away. The best thing about this song though, is the lead guitar. HOT LICKS. 10/10
Where My Mouth Is - This song was practically MADE to be played solo acoustic by Adam at live shows. I think this song has the best lyrics on the album, and some of the best in Taking Back Sunday's career. 8/10
Cut Me Up Jenny - A great song. It's been getting a lot of hate on this site (along with the entire album), but it's not nearly as bad as everybody says it is. The guitars and vocals are real groovy. 8/10
Catholic Knees - This is my least favorite song on the album. Adams vocals are kind of strange in the verses, but he saves it in the chorus'. The screaming toward the end of the song is great. I'm pretty sure I prefer the live version from the Carpathia 7" though. 7/10
Capital M-E - The song about good old Freddy. It has really great lyrics, and is yet another catchy song, but it bums me out that there's a feud between the band and Fred. But oh well, that's how this band is I guess. I love to sing along to this song. 9/10
Carpathia - Matt Rubano has MANY great bass parts on this album, but he show's how much he's improved in this song. The bass solo is SEXY. Another song that's fun as fuck to sing along to. 8/10
Everything Must Go - The end of New Again. It's a great track, and a fan favorite. This might be because of it's raw sound and emotional lyrics and vocals. It's definatly a great way to end the album, but somehow I'd rather see Carpathia as the final song. 9/10
I love this album. I'm not quite sure yet where it stands on my list of favorite TBS records, (WYWTB > LN > TAYF) but this is better than Louder Now for sure. I will be buying this on June 2nd, no doubt about it. I was a bit nervous going into it, but Taking Back Sunday has delivered a great record once again, and reminds me why they've been my favorite band since middle school.
9.5/10

| | | Honest Abe and Surrealism |
Now, I'm not usually an "art guy", but I've been getting pretty into surrealist art lately. Here are a few that I really liked...

And there you have it. I'll throw in something stupid for good measure...
16TH PRESIDENT OF THE MOTHAFUCKIN UNITED STATES

That is all.
