Also I'm not using spoilers, read at your own risk.
First off, the special effects were stunning. The way they summed up the 500 or whatever many pages book 6 is into a nice package was good as well. I thought it was a good movie.
1. They left out way too many Riddle memories, these are origins of where each Hocrux lies. Left out way too much and did a poor job of explaining Hocruxes.
2. They completely fucked up the end. Where was Harry telling Hermoine and Ron to assemble what was left of Dumbledore's Army to watch Draco. And where the hell is the battle? Where was the Order? Where was Fenrir mauling Bill? Such a shit ending.
3. lol @ the Christmas scene at the Burrow, what the fuck was that? Why was that included?
4. Where is the Quidditch Cup championship and the blossoming of Harry and Ginny's romance?
They left out a lot of things that explain a lot of what happens and why in Book 7. Overall, I am pretty satisfied with the movie, could have been better from a fanboy's point of view, but from a casual viewer's point of view, it was wonderful, I can see why it's getting wonderful reviews. The subtle hints of Regilius (sp?) and Olivander were ace.
Really excited for Movie 7 Part 1 and 2. Gonna read Book 7 this week.
It was by far the funniest Potter film of the series, and I did enjoy the movie very much.
I love how All Time Low always seems to incorporate a joke about unauthorized duplication. On the back of So Wrong, It's Right, in the bottom left, it says "Unauthorized duplicators will have their homes burned to the ground by the band." I am sure many of you knew that, but on the back of my watermark it says: "All pirates will be reported to Barack Obama for swift Navy Seal execution - Nothing Personal." Thought that was funny. Unfortunately, there is nothing like that on the retail copy. oh well, points to ATL still for the humor.
