| My Day (Haircut & Further YM&EWK Impression) |
My hair was getting way too long. See pic above (not the one with my family). It was touching my shoulders for the most part so I cut it all off. I feel like I'm less weighed down, if that makes any sense. Feels good.
I spent the day listening to So Young, So Insane by You, Me, and Everyone We Know. I really, really like it. It's different, but yet it's still them. "Happy Birthday" is a great song. I jammed it for about 30 minutes straight. I'm waiting the days until I can see them. 19 days to go!
How's everyone's day going? Any music you would recommend anyone listening to? | | Tags: profile, update, you me and everyone we know, suggest, impression |

I recommend everyone checking out a young man by the name of Ben Talmi. His songs are great, and perfect for the season. Check out "Glam Girls". Great fucking song. Keep your eyes out for his debut album Forget, But Not Forgive.
I also recommend the following:
- Capital Lights - What An Outrage!
- Forgive Durden - Razia's Shadow: A Musical
- This Providence - The Bright Lights EP
- Ludo - Ludo
- Say Anything - ...is a real boy/...was a real boy
I'm also going to recommend the following songs:
- Fall Out Boy - What A Catch, Donnie
- Paul Simon - You Can Call Me Al
- Landon Pigg - Falling In Love At A Coffee Shop
I want to also recommend staying healthy by drinking lots and lots of water! This past week I was told I have a kidney infection and kidney stones. I've been in pain for over a week and that's what I found out after going to the doctor. So everyone, ditch the soda. Drink water and cranberry juice! | | Tags: recommendations, update, Ben Talmi, personal |

Forgive Durden - Razia's Shadow- Seriously the album of the year for me. So great. Epic, and never boring.
Also check out the following:
Snow Patrol - A Hundred Million Suns
Fear Before - Fear Before
Murder By Death - Red Of Tooth & Claw
J-Roddy Walston and The Business - Hail Mega Boys
I'm working on a review for Razia's Shadow. Hopefully I'll get it done when my free time kicks in. | | Tags: recommendations |

| | | Drunken Poem... |
All the sleepless nights
waiting for a new day to arrive
I thought I saw you standing across the bar
but I was wrong.
The countless beers I chug down
making my friend piss himself
with laughter,
because that’s what makes the world go round.
How selfish have I become
with one, two, three more until I’m done.
Stumbling outside to my car
but no one stops me
not even the owner of the bar.
I could have wrecked, I could have been killed
such a big price for such a small thrill.
I wake up as I lay down to rest
thinking of all the time I waste.
Now I’m laughing.
Now I’m crying.
I do not know this person I’ve become.
Was it all I lie?
Only to myself, but I’ll be fine.
We play pool and share stories amongst forgotten friends.
How our lives have passed before us
and we never stopped to think
about the people we affect day in and day out.
My choices I’ve made tonight have led me here
I light up a dozen smokes
killing myself slowly through this maze I’m in.
Where do I go from here?
If only that was you across the bar.
If only that was you sharing these laughs.
But you’re missing out again
and I’m in no condition to drive.
I’m going to though
because I don’t think before my actions take place.
If only that was you across that bar.
I swear it was
but with a pitcher left
I didn’t care to find out. | | Tags: drunk, poem |

| | My AIM is finally working again |
| After about 2 weeks of it being down I let it sit for a while and I didn't try to sign on to it. Well I just said "Might as well try today", and sure enough it worked. I can finally socialize with some of my friends who don't have phones. | |

| | Just got back from seeing New Found Glory |
Wow. That's all I can really say. It was fantastic beyond words. I've seen NFG plenty of times, but this was by far the best.
The opening bands did a great job. Crime In Stereo, Four Year Strong, A Day To Remember, and International Superheros Of Hardcore. Would that last one be considered an opening band? The crowd was big and energetic. Four Year Strong was great as usual. I wasn't too impressed with Crime In Stereo. They're good at what they do, but it just wasn't for me. I think my biggest surprise was A Day To Remember. Holy shit do they know how to rock. Seriously one of the best performances I've ever seen. They didn't miss a beat. Jordan (NFG) came out to help sing "Since U Been Gone".
International Superheros of Hardcore were awesome. Chad AKA Captain Straight Edge, makes a fantastic front man. He's energetic and he knows how to get the crowd going. He does the same think in New Found Glory, but this showed his full potential. One of the coolest surprised from I.S.H.C.'s set was when Jordan, Steve, and Cyrus left the stage and the dudes from Four Year Strong came out and helped Chad do a Shai Hulud cover. I was impressed.
The main event seriously blew me away. New Found Glory. Seriously. It was fucking great. Stunning rather. They basically hardcored up all their songs. It was nuts. Below you can find a set list of what I can remember. It's not in the right order though.
Better Off Dead
All About Her
Hit Or Miss
Head On Collision
All Down Hill From Here
Truth Of My Youth
It Never Snows In Florida
Sonny
Tip Of The Ice Berg
Dig My Own Grave
No Reason Why
Kiss Me
Failure's Not Flattering
At Least I'm Known For Something
Understatement
Something I Call Personality
Forget My Name
Intro
My Friends Over You
Yeah so that's all I can remember. I know they played the one song (can't think of the name) that mentions their name. Any help with that?
I'm exhausted. It's late. Time for bed. | | Tags: New Found Glory, I.S.H.C., Crime In Stereo, A Day To Remember, Four Year Strong. |

| | | | When the Fall comes around, you can show me the town that you live in... |
Fantastic Sherwood lyric for the title of this blog. Seems to describe the mood I'm in. It's so nice having the Fall finally here. Especially in Florida. It's usually way too hot. There's never a comfort point. When the fall comes in I feel comfortable. Too bad I got sick when the season started.
Today I've been rocking Jonezetta's album Cruel To Be Young. Great album for the Fall. When I went out today to go to a few places I was rocking the Bayside's new album Shudder. Great music I must say. Bayside gets me pumped.
Anyone have some good Fall recommendations? | | Tags: Fall, personal, Recs., Jonezetta, Bayside, Sherwood, Florida |

| | Lots of new CDs for me! |
Went by the ol' record store today (where I use to work) to be greeted with a box of promos! Awesome! Last time I went in there they gave me The Morning Light's self titled album along with People In Planes new album, Muse's Harp (CD/DVD), Norma Jean's latest album, and Zebrahead's newest album. This time though it was a far better treat.
I know I might be late to the game on a few of these, but whatever. The box I was given today had the following albums in it.
- Jonezetta - Cruel To Be Young
- Capital Lights - This Is An Outrage!
- Styrofoam - A Thousand Words
- Cold War Kids - Loyalty To Loyalty (Deluxe DVD Edition)
- Bayside - Shudder
Needless to say this was an awesome box for me. I'm so happy about Jonezetta. I had never heard them before and it was a real treat to listen to. I will be listening to this album this Fall for sure. I was also stoked for the new Bayside album and the new Cold War Kids album. Seriously two of my favorite bands. They both are amazing. I still need to see Cold War Kids live. I've been told good things.
Such a great day. I need to start going in there once a week rather than once a month. | | Tags: promos, CDs, Cold War Kids, Jonezetta, Bayside |

Music:
- The Morning Light - The Morning Light This album is great. I personally think it's a great follow up to The Sounds Of Love EP.
- Cold War Kids - Loyalty To Loyalty I simply just love this band. The lyrics are great and the musicianship is solid.
- You, Me, & Everyone We Know - Party For The Grown & Sexy This band is going to be big someday. Their new songs for their new EP, So Young So Insane (November 18th), are catchy and great.
Movies:
- Meet Bill This movie stars Aaron Eckhart, Jessica Alba, and Elizabeth Banks. It's a fantastic comedy about someone you know.
Television:
- It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia I don't need any explaining here.
- Pushing Daisies Check this show out. It's fantastic. The first season is out on DVD now.

| | Entering the recording studio Thursday |
| I'm stoked to finally record my full length album. After countless songs, song ideas, demos, I've finally gotten 16 songs to record. I'll be releasing an EP this December for Christmas and then I'll release the full length in the Spring. I'm thinking March or April. 12 songs will be on the album, and 5 will be on the EP (one song will be from the album while the others are b-sides so to speak). I'm gathering up friends to help me with this album for back up vocals, gang vocals, and people who know how to play instruments that I don't. I have two drummer for the studio and I have some people that play strings and some others that play horns. All Guitar, bass, and keys I'll be doing along with vocals. After everything is done, I'm hoping to hit the road to support this thing. | | Tags: update, studio, music, plans |
