| I will be using this blog to talk about many of the underrated artists I have come across in my musical journey. The hardest thing about reviewing or reading reviews about a band is dealing with the fact that most ways people judge music is through opinion. If someone doesn't agree with that opinion, usually everything else that person has to say will have no effect. My goal is to objectively review bands that haven't broken through to people yet. One of the most exciting times for a band is when the music being written starts coming together and the audience starts connecting with it. I would like to try and document that process of success based upon the musical excellence of the musicians and how they combine their own artistic visions with current revival of scenes and trends. Being a musician most of my life and having been involved in multiple collaborative bands and my own writing journey, I hope to help other artists who deserve recognition but at the same time be critical about every aspect involved in being a band. Lastly, I want to give everyone the excitement and joy of finding an artist whom with they can connect with and thoroughly enjoy. I hope to be able to post something on a daily basis but I cannot make promises due to my devotion to my studies at college and time I have to spend playing shows and recording music every week. My first review will be on my latest underground obsession, State Lines, who will be releasing their sophomore album very soon. | |
