Yea I’ve been clearing my head
Trying to get some sleep
But all these overloaded thoughts crash down on me
And it seems that this is just not good enough
So I’ll come clean to you.

Head in Hands I find
That I’ve been fighting the words
It just ISN'T worth my time.
It’s not a way to die.

Suffocated by stress
My life is a Mess
It’s NOT right.

Hand in hand we climb
Separated by fate
That got in the way of life.

Of all the ways to die

Well this is the calm before the storm
It’s hitting harder than it has before
Sometimes you gotta walk in the rain
If you’re dying to find what you’re looking for

My family closed down their business after 5 years
I've watched almost all of my friends graduate
I worked with NoFx
Saw a band that defined my teenage years put on an amazing return show
Gone to countless festivals and shows
The guy who ruined my life for two years came back asking for another chance
I ended my relationship of 4.5 years
Mourned the loss of a friend who was killed at the age of 19
My grandmothers are barely holding on for their lives
My two older cousins are in the same situation
I've witnesses family fist fights
Met some awesome new people
Watched my two friends finally fall in love
Saw the best and worst in others
Watched the unlikely become reality
Had guys of different ages and states try to make moves
Only one really making a difference
and even he doesn't give a shit anymore

and it's only August of 2008.

I don't know what's going to happen to me
Where I will be tomorrow
How this year will end

But inside I know that I have to BELIEVE that there is a purpose and a reason for all of this
That things will get better
That I will be happy
But that time apparently isn't right now
So I will continue to walk through the rain in hopes that I will find that ray of hope.
