I know, it's surprising, but I'm actually going to stop my bitching about life etc, to talk about music. It might take some getting used to for my dear readers, but I think you can handle it.
"Don't Forget About"? What the hell are you talking about, Brad?
Well, I'm going to be talking about what I consider to be some of the best albums of all time. They are going to be mentioned in no order, and I'm sure some that I consider to be of the highest quality will be passed over by me for simple lack of descriptive words.
Anyway, this first installment is in honor of The Stone Roses wonderful eponymous debut album, which was recently remastered. P4K slammed a 10.0 on it and NME called it the best British album of all time. It's stunning creativity is pretty simply evident. Combining an obscure dance sound with intelligent late 80's indie rock, the album really doesn't have any competitors as far as style goes. There isn't a whole lot to legitimately compare it against as fair as dance driven indie rock albums go. Everything about this album is iconic, from it's blaring bass (which by the way, sounds fantastic on the remaster), it's instantly memorable (without being cheesy) lyrics, or it's impressively simple album art, it's an album that you won't ever want to forget about.
And for fucks sake, pick it up if you don't already have it. No better time than now.
