I think my street may be unlucky.
I came from work, and all the electricity was out on Knollwood Rd. This is the fourth time (or maybe fifth?) time this has happened, and it's always something dramatic and life-threatening, like a blown transformer or a crazy lightening storm or a wild powerline fire, like this time. Kind of frustrating, slightly exhilarating. Mostly annoying when I have work to do, which is always.
So now I am over a friend's house because I can't be sitting by candlelight, twiddling my thumbs. Last time this happened, I crocheted. I could have crocheted this time too, but I'm hesitant to encourage my lameness.
Here I am, watching the X-Games Mexico with Sarah and John's new roommate, William. Jason has finished his questions for the staff interview (FINALLY!), so that will go up tonight. I also need to minimize my inbox and post some news that's been sitting in there, work on a few contests, send some emails for my Unsigned Band Sponsorship Hook-Up, finish up a review, and prep for an interview - and that's just in AP.net world. No crocheting tonight. And I need to get all of this done before 2 a.m. when the bars close, because when John and Sarah get back, John's gonna want to cuddle or play beer pong. One of the two, most definitely. Ah, I love my co-workers.
Ok, time to do this.
PS - Been enjoying Death in the Park and The Little Ones lately. Also, check out Pandora's Musicology podcast. Oh! Did I tell you that Jac and I redid our apartment?! Oh, it's so cool. I'll have to post pictures when it's totally done. | | Tags: to do list, random, crazy powerline fire |
