• The Royal We – Silversun Pickups - The string groove is catchy. I may be in the minority but I enjoy this more than Panic Switch but that's also a great song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvCiyGz4mO8

• The Only One - Manchester Orchestra – Opening track to one of the best albums of 2009. It begins the journey this band has meticulously created(they created a music video for every track). It's catchy and grew on me early in the year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLCt6...om=PL&index=24

• Relentless Fours – Grammatics - The female vocals in this song perfectly complement the male vocalist. This song has an entrancing mood to it as does the rest of the album.
• The Bright Side - We Shot The Moon – This album surprised and this track is crazy addictive! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oI1QSWKS2wc
• 1901 – Phoenix - The most catchy song of 2009? You decide.
• Daylight – Matt and Kim – Ditto.
• Dust and Bones - Audrye Sessions – Epic.

• I Don't Know – Dredg - The sentiment that we don't know what happens after death is something I can dig. The beat is constant and the guitars help build a nice groove. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HlHc_0woKA
• The Smile, The Face – Emery – One of the most explosive intros I've heard all year, the energy is amazing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thyN7uaZWLk
• A Sin to Hold On To – Emery
• Everyone's At It - Lily Allen – A familiar sample runs through this song. There are plenty of good tracks on this album but this opening track sings about a common addiction. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RuQy8sKKak
• Innocent Man - A Love Like Pi – This new band is an electronic heavy rock band. The synergy is most apparent in this song. With frequently changing tempos and gang vocals, how could I kill an innocent man?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4lEwMudYX0
• King Rat - Modest Mouse – A b-side off of their last album but released this year on an EP. Features a great video directed by the late Heath Ledger. Has that signature crazy instrumentals and message that we like from Modest Mouse. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qi7KDOAj4Xo
• Hold That Sound - .moneen. - The energy in this song is multiplied when you see them perform this live.
• Unnatural Selection – Muse

• Oasis (Intro), Savannah, Baby (Outro) - Relient K – These 3 tracks represent the same thematic melody and it's catchy.
