I'm currently reworking some of my old drawings digitally on photoshop. I don't update often anymore because it honestly takes forever to get anywhere with these drawings haha. This one's about 60% done and I'm bored, so I thought I'd post an update. (anyone remember the original drawing? lol.)
I'm currently packing up all my stuff and getting ready to move in early/mid august. I'm so excited to get out of here, you don't even know. I bought a spiffy new drawing desk the other day, and I couldn't be happier. I'm moving out. This is happening.
I also registered for all my courses next year and I'm super stoked on my schedule (: Twelve hours of studio time every week. I can't wait.
I'm glad you all enjoyed my pumpkin. It was tons of fun to carve.
Yo guys, I'm super stressing about my portfolio. I need 15 pieces of artwork that showcase my versatility and skill and stuff. I only have 6! Good lord! I'm a slacker, what can I say? I better get my act together, eh?
And on a completely unrelated note, I love How I Met Your Mother.
5 minute doodle in photoshop. The roughness is pretty evident, but I thought she looked cute, so there ya go.
More to come as I stalk out Garance Doré's blog even further. Coolest frenchwoman ever. I can only hope to become as skilled as her after I go through art school. (:
I have three or four drawings in-progress in photoshop. I didn't expect this whole digital painting deal to be so time-consuming. Aiyaaaa. I have too many ideas for my own good. I didn't forget about pen and paper though. No sir. I just got a new set of india ink pens that I'm absolutely dying to try out. Tomorrow, hopefully.
I hope everyone had a great weekend, 'cause I know I did (:
This weekend has been crazy busy, but I actually got my tablet on Thursday so between fam jams and hanging out with people whom I haven't seen in a long time, I've been doodling with it and playing around in photoshop.
Here's a fat lady that I'm currently working on.
It's a little disorienting to draw on the tablet but look at my screen. I'm still getting used to it and experimenting (this is my excuse for the drawing not being so great, ha.)
Check out how suave this thing looks though:
What a beaut. I love it so much.
G4 is airing an Office marathon tomorrow for Thanksgiving, which is what I'll probably be doing all day.
And then I get to see The Gaslight Anthem on Tuesday! Hurrah!
edit: If you are at all interested in fashion/illustration/combining the two, Garance Doré's blog will be a great inspiration to you. She's a fantastic illustrator.
Oh man, so I was sorting through my art folder today and I came across this little gem. I think it's from late 2006 or early 2007. I didn't date it, so it's impossible to tell. I was still a huge n00b with photoshop, so forgive the rough edges/spazzy lines and the fact that it doesn't resemble who it is supposed to.
It's like a coloring book page!!
Uncovering this has kind of made me want to make more. I think everyone should be able to print out a color-able version of Andy Hull. Or maybe not. I can't tell if that's an awesome idea or a really dumb one. But one thing I do know is that everyone should bust out their crayons and get coloring.
