So after the post, I spent a lot of time trying to think up what I consider essential albums, I'm stoked to get some "PRETENTIOUS ASSFUCKFUCKING ASSHOLE DOUCHE" comments, but hey, whatcha gonna do?
I'm limiting myself to one per band, which is a bitch, but I'm doing it
These are not the most influential or important albums, just ones that I think are good enough that everyone should own.
No real order:
Radiohead - OK Computer Broken Social Scene - Broken Social Scene Animal Collective - Sung Tongs My Bloody Valentine - Loveless Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane, Over The Sea Wilco - Summerteeth Girl Talk - Night Ripper The Replacements - Let It Be Daft Punk - Alive 2007 Grizzly Bear - Yellow House Kanye West - The College Dropout Modest Mouse - The Lonesome Crowded West Arcade Fire - Funeral
If you'd like to know why I included one over the other in a bands catalog, or something like that, ask! If you want to tell me what a fucking idiot I am because Blink aren't on here, go ahead! If you think that there is a band or album I totally overlooked, let me know. thanks!
