I often reminisce about summer of 2004. My old friends Katie, Matt and I agree that it was summer of lives in all its cliched romanticism.
My boyfriend at the time - a fresh-faced music enthusiast, similar to myself, named Josh - introduced me Saves the Day's I'm Sorry I'm Leaving EP. I've never been a huge STD fan, but the EP is one of my all time favorites. Reminds me of late nights, drives around the back roads, hanging out after work, best friends, leaving for college and the bridge between innocence and inheriting responsibility. I decided to break it out this evening, perhaps because I'm feeling opportunistic or maybe because it's a really good EP but probably because I kinda miss those days. | | Tags: saves the day |
