| | Saves the Day- In Reverie |
First blog ever. I don't know if I'll be using this much. But I feel like dedicating it to Saves The Day.

I've been on a huge Say Anything kick lately which has somewhat transformed into me listening to one of my favorite STD album's "In Reverie." I discovered around the time it released due to the influence of rock my brother played in the room next door to me. Re-listening to Saves The Day, the band really tried something different with this record. I didn't really read that many "negative" reviews on this record; and from the comments I've read... many people didn't enjoy this album when it was released. They matured their sound in this record. They; in my view, blended a late 60's/70's electro rock sound into a modern day rock band. Chris took a chance and it was a hell of a great chance.
So once again I swim In Reverie
without your love
so long ago I cant remember now
where we began
Smell of burning photographs slides
slowly to my nostrils I try
remember the soft silence of
summer sweating in the evening
-In Reverie
I don't really want to give this album a review right here. I just would love to address the issue on how awesome this record is at night. It's almost One on the East Coast, nothing like hearing Chris's haunting voice in "Tomorrow Too Late." With the guitar solos that many would wish they invented. This album is one of the best albums from the past ten years and will always be a personal favorite. The lyrics mainly hit me a lot harder than other releases. Go buy this.
when was the last time
i held you all through the night?
never a worry would
run through my heart like a knife
when was the last time
i held you all through the night?
never a worry would
run through my heart like a knife
tomorrow is much too late
i need you now
be my life
tomorrow is much too late
i need you now
