writing, recording, playing.
All of us have played together in other bands throughout our teenage years in the south jersey/philly pop punk and metal scenes. All of us being previous members of bands such as silence breeds murder, three mile high, a sense of belonging and asystolic revival. Shotgun Bang became a permanent lineup in early 2010. This band, starting off with the idea of fuzing sounds from all of the many influences we've grown to love, without setting out to define a specific genre as our home. We're nothing more than a group of people who have fallen in love with all forms of music, melding souds to create something of our own. We may or may not be creating a completely new sound, but going out of our way to avoid regurgitating any one particular genre or artist is our goal. Some listeners label us as pop rock..and we don't mind. With that generalization out in the open air, we'd like to do our best to sway your opinion of any traditional pop rock bands by adding elements from other music we love that you wouldn't expect to hear when listening to a band labeled by such boundaries. Perhaps we'll succeed in that goal, but realistically it's not that important to us. We're just doing what we love and we're certainly interested in giving it our all to mature and define something that means much more than being brushed off as any one type of sound.
