i am so in support of this blog. i have been a fan of senses fail pretty much forever, and i know buddy writes most (or all?) of the songs, which i love the lyrics to, so i knew he was a great writer but this is amazing buddy. i understand where you are coming from completely. being raised protestant with a family who believed in creationism mixed with evolution and then straying to atheism and finally agnosticism, i've been in a sort of religious mix-up whirlwind. as a child, i was very sheltered but ever since i knew homosexuals existed, i haven't really seen them any differently than anybody else. i think the main reason for discrimination is that differences are taught so distinctively. boys are different than girls, gays are different from straights, blacks are different than whites, and all of that. parents may not even realize that they are sometimes putting these views inside their childrens minds, because i don't think most parents want their kids to be hateful. however, when people see things in the world as morally wrong ,they don't want their children or friends to get involved with it, because that would mean they have to disown those people (whatever it is that they consider morally wrong). that's why people tend to push their beliefs on everyone around them, including being racist, and sexist, and homophobic. when it comes down to it we are all human and we're all the same , with emotions and love and yes, hate. i have little hope for a world without discrimination, because i think people will always distinguish the differences between them and other people. personally, what we all can do is try to see everyone as the same as us when it comes down to it: human. everyone has different experiences and opinions, but we all have feelings and those need to be respected.

Hi there. I know you probably hate being bombarded by tons of messages from fans. I just wanted to say that your music is absolutely awesome. You're one of my favorite bands of all times. And you guys must come to Pittsburgh PA as soon as possible so I can go see you! I've been waiting FOREVER for a good band to come. I missed out on Avenged Sevenfold because of personal reasons, so yeah. I know you get a lot of requests for concerts in areas but I thought I would throw mine out there just in case I get lucky. :P haha

Hey Buddy, I don't know if you ever check this anymore, but today I felt compelled to write to you any way possible. I found this on a google search so here I am writing this, hoping you see it. My name is Jake and I'm from Paramus, NJ... a town over from good old Ridgewood. The brutal Jersey winter is finally starting to break and I was thinking about hitting up the Ridgewood bike path. I remember when Let it Enfold You came out in 04, all I did that summer was ride the bike path and listen to that album. It was seriously fucking therapeutic for me, even as such a young age. Obviously I'm getting a little older now and your music has still got me through some shitty time, as well as making some great memories. I've always been proud to be from North Jersey and listening to you guys play makes me even more proud. It's not like me to write to a band member and look like some crazy little fan, this isn't like that. On my way home from work today, while I was listening to, Life is not a waiting room, I just felt like I've known you all my life when I listen. I just wanted to say thanks for the music dude. I still have yet to see you guys in concert, but I'm definitely going to be there next time you guys are at Starland or anywhere in Jersey. I've been doing some side projects with screen printing and I made a pretty cool New Jersey shirt. I'll post a link to the picture below. I'd like to send you guys a few of them, no charge of course. I just thought you would appreciate some Jersey love because no one fucking understands it. If there is a place I can mail these to you guys when you're not on tour please hit me up if you ever have the chance. My E-Mail is jakedamis@gmail.com. If not, maybe I'll just bring one to a show and throw it up on stage while I'm on the crowd haha. Don't take this the wrong way, I know there is probably security issues with giving an address and shit. I'm no nut job though. Just a kid from your part of Jersey that really appreciates your music and just wants to show some love.
