yo ive read your post about vanna's new album and i totally know what your sayin. vanna completely lost their creativity and sound just like every other hardcore band. the whole reason i started to like them was their curses album and now im just left bummed out by their new album

I actually just graduated this past fall. Loved the college. Loved the area, I'm originally from Reading, and I decided to stick around this place even though I now work down in Wilmington. As far as the living conditions on campus, they're only getting better and better. All of the dorms are being torn down over the next couple years and replaced by new ones with bigger rooms (many of the dorms were originally built for one person), a shared bathroom for every two dorms (compared to one bathroom for each entire floor for the guys), air conditioning (none before unless you had a doctor's note) and I believe I've heard a decent sized flat screen TV on each floor in the common area.

I believe they are also working on slowly fixing up or replacing the classrooms/buildings, although I don't know if you would see that in your time there.

The food is decent enough, the campus has a diner which is a decent place to hang out at on weeknights. Sykes Student Union is another option if you want "better" food. And the cafe suffices, even though I'll admit that it has gotten worse there since I started.

Also I've never really heard a bad thing about any of the departments although some majors are definitely better than others, in terms of faculty, resources, etc. Any idea on a major?

I'm assuming you're already aware of the towny section of WC with all the bars, restaurants, coffee shops, but that is definitely another great thing about going to school here. There's plenty of places to go within a reasonable walk.

On the negative side of things, cops, campus security have cracked down on drinking exponentially since my sophomore year there. Obviously that really shouldn't be a deciding factor on what college you go to, but if you do drink while you live on campus, you need to be smarter about it at this university than a lot of others within the state. Basically, have fun, but don't be a complete idiot.

The university presents a great environment for having fun and doing well academically. It really just depends on what you make of it. I have absolutely no regrets about choosing to go there.
