Personal Note
I love this kind of music. That's why I'm here. I like good lyrics and great guitars. www.myspace.com/blackoutfilms
I work as a screenwriter and I love good music. I live in LA. This city is phony and I'm not trying to be a cliche by saying that. It is phony. I exist in the movie business. I come to this site as a nice break from the bullshit of the movie industry. I like how people talk smack on the boards and I like all the band gossip. Seriously, I'm not joking or being sarcastic...I really do like it. Anyway - I'm 'old' for this scene (28) but, screw it, who cares - right? Anyway - like I said, I like good music. Love the post-hardcore-punk-pop-screamo-core stuff. Whatever that means. What does that mean? Too many sub-genres. It gives me a headache. Whatever happened to Rock. Metal. Rap. Jazz? Now there's like a billion categories. I can't keep track. Generally, if a band is mentioned on this site, I like them. Unless they're REALLY poppy. I don't like stuff that's TOO poppy. Y'know? Example...Mae. Mae is kinda poppy. My taste is more in league with Thrice, TBS, A Static Lullaby and...hmmm...Senses Fail (although that may get me tarred and feathered on this site). That's what I dig. I don't post a lot. But I like to 'lurk'.
