i'm mike and i'm 22. i live in dallas, tx and i play bass for THE HIT. we're putting the finishing touches on our EP, which should be out by the spring, and we're about to spend the entire calendar year of '09 on the road. check our myspace for dates and come see us on tour! /// i'm 33 hours away from graduating from oklahoma state university with a double-major in sports media broadcasting and news-editorial journalism, but i decided to take some (more) time off to pursue the band. /// THE HIT pretty much takes up every waking second of my life, but what free time i have that isn't spent on music is probably spent watching, studying or writing about sports. i hope to write for sports illustrated or alternative press someday. or maybe rolling stone. or maybe spin. or maybe all of them. /// i used to be in a band called the composure, based out of oklahoma with AJ Jakober (who now tours with forgive durden). i played lead guitar and sang every now and then. we put out a record, toured with some good friends and then went our separate ways. you can still find our record "long days spent looking for nightlife" on itunes.
