Anti-Flag will be releasing American Spring on May 26th. The album artwork and track listing are in the replies.
There is no shortage of fodder for a new record of commentary on the social and political climate in 2015: Endless wars, the new Jim Crow and American injustice, corprotocracy, environmental coup d’état, the surveillance state, loss, grief, and anxiety. We hope that these songs can grant us solace in a seemingly hopeless era. It has been frustrating to see much punk rock music —and music in general— quiet in the face of so many atrocities that are taking place around the world. This record is not quiet. If you are disillusioned with the status quo, these songs are for you.

A variety of bands, including Anti-Flag, will be boycotting shows put on by Pittsburgh promoter Brian Drusky after comments made over the weekend. Anti-Flag have posted a statement about their decision.
Through the cases of Eric Garner, Michael Brown and all those who have suffered at the hands of racism, police brutality and an unjust legal system, there is a loud and important public discourse. Based on recent actions, we feel that Brian Drusky, the owner of the company promoting our show in Pittsburgh, is on the wrong side of that conversation. For this reason we do not feel comfortable playing a show he’s promoting. Confronting bigotry and blind allegiance to power with education is...

Justin Sane of Anti-Flag has released a statement regarding the events in Ferguson.
Another unjust outcome from an unjust system. Jim Crowe didn’t die in the 1960’s, it just took on a new form. And the lessons that America should have learned from the Rodney King incident went right over the country’s head. In the many years of struggle against racism in the U.S., there is still much work to be done. The U.S. legal system is a microcosm of a wider society that discriminates against people who are not white, a society that is drowning in an epidemic of police violence against people of color. In incident after incident, excessive force and murder by American police is used as an on the...

Anti-Flag's Chris Barker, aka Chris #2, has released a new cover of Pete Seeger's "What Did You Learn In School Today?."
We were asked to play Seeger Fest this year celebrating Pete Seeger's life,” explains Chris #2. “In that process going over Pete's incredible collection of songs I stumbled over “What Did You Learn In School Today.” It immediately struck me. I just wanted to do a song that demonstrates why the medium of folk music can be so powerful. That melody lodges itself in your brain, yet the lyrics are tremendously visceral and poignant."
