Members of Head North and Maryland photographer and videographer Rachel Cooper have started Quiet Fire Media, a combination record label and media company. Oklahoma City punk-rock act Red City Radio has signed to Staple Records (current home of Thrice, frnkiero andthe cellabration, La Dispute) and is entering Red Audio Werks with Kendall Stephens to begin recording their third full-length album today. The band is following up 2013's Titles and most recently toured with New Found Glory on the Glamour Kills Tour in the fall.

18 year old Derry, Northern Ireland artist SOAK has signed to Rough Trade and will release her debut solo album next year. In the meantime you should check out her new single "B a noBody" and the b-side "Shuvels" in the replies, especially if you're a fan of Beach House, Lykke Li or Laura Marling. This is almost certainly an artist to look out for over the next 12 months.
