According to the New York Times, Pandora has purchased Ticketfly.
Pandora announced early Wednesday that it would acquire Ticketfly for $450 million, in a mix of cash and stock. The deal further expands Pandora’s interests in providing services to artists. Last year, it introduced a data system, the Artist Marketing Platform, or AMP, that shows musicians which songs are most popular on the service and where. And in May, Pandora bought Next Big Sound, another data service, which studies the listening and online searching patterns of streaming music customers.

It may seem impossible that a cat could compose an entire album of carefully crafted instrumental music, but BUB is not simply "a cat". She came from the deep unknown, on an intergalactic mission to help the people and animals of earth with her magic, talents, and otherworldly wisdom. I can attest to her power—the time I spent with her absolutely made me a better person.

Hit the replies for a performance of "Play Crack the Sky" by Brand New in Dallas. The performance is proceeded by a little speech from Jesse about growing up and making it through your younger years. The band is also asking fans to bring two cans of non-perishable food to their New Orleans show.
What’s funny is [that] I’m 37, and when you start playing music, night after night, from decades ago, you start to reflect on who you were when you were younger and the things you wrote music about. A lot of what we write music about is the uncertainty of being young, and trying to figure out who you are in the world, and what it’s going to be like when you grow older, and who it is you’re going...

An excerpt from Tom DeLonge's novel is up on Rolling Stone. It's ... it's not great guys.
Poet took a step back as the Dream Walkers arrived at his table. Two men and one woman stood in full armor, helmets in their hands. They looked battle-hardened and cruel. The woman had a scar on her upper lip, pulling it to the side in an eternal sneer. One of the men wore an eye-patch, and when he saw Poet looking at him, he smiled, flashing a gap of missing teeth.

Trophy Lungs are releasing their new album Day Jobs on October 16th via Antique Records. The record is about the moment when someone encounters the realities of life and the internal battle faced to keep his or her spirits alive when times get tough. We are premiering the new video for "Bathroom Graffiti," which you can watch below. The song clocks in at just over two minutes, being a rapid speed pop-punk track that reminds me a lot of Forever Came Calling's Contender. If you like the track, be sure to pre-order the record.
