Head to PropertyOfZack to see what Tyler Welsh of Driver Friendly has to say about Third Eye Blind for BandsOnBands.
It wasn’t until my freshman year of college when I realized what an amazing band Third Eye Blind was. My girlfriend at the time, burned me a copy of their self-titled album. At first, I scoffed, “Why would I want to listen to an album from a lame one-hit wonder band from the 90s?” She insisted, and I remember listening to “Losing a Whole Year,” for the first time. Driving in my 1991 Jeep Cherokee on a Texas highway, my entire musical world shifted. This was pop. Pure, unadulterated pop. But it was so much more.

The Dangerous Summer frontman AJ Perdomo has left the band. He still wishes to make music. He will hold a Q&A tomorrow at 6pm PST on Twitter to answer questions.
As far as the band goes, I originally wanted to do another album in time, and do some shows in the future. I wanted to carry on the name, and let the band just be stagnant while I spend time at home. It has come to the point where I can’t do that anymore. I’ve had a hard time sticking with Cody through this for a very long time, and there’s now a complete disconnect. I don’t have control over what the band does, says, or sells anymore; I don’t know what the future will be for them either. It has just become something that I need...
