No Sleep Records will be releasing a compilation album in honor of Chris Hansen's mother. The tracklisting, which includes cover songs, unreleased tracks and alternate versions of songs from bands like The Wonder Years, The Swellers, Allison Weiss and more, can be seen in the replies.
A Comp For Mom is a special project I planned over the past month of my mom’s life, to release in her honor and to help raise funds for her medical bills. Now it will be released in memory of her. 100% of the proceeds will be going towards any medical bills/other expenses incurred after her passing, after that 100% of the proceeds will go into a Linda Hansen Memorial Fund.
Rescuer is selling a b-side from their new album to help raise money for one of the members' six year old nephew's kidney transplant.
My sister has decided to take a trip to Boston Children’s Hospital to get a second opinion. They are the #1 hospital in the nation for Children’s Nephrology. My family is by no means a rich family, and we unfortunately don’t have the money to completely cover the costs associated with the visit. The feeling of helplessness in this situation is entirely overwhelming.
No Sleep Records has signed Aviator. The band will release their debut full-length album later this year. A new song teaser is below.
“Of all the experiences we’ve had in the last 5 years, joining the No Sleep team is an all-time high,” says guitarist Mat Morin. “We couldn’t have asked for a more supportive and more passionate group of guys to release this record.”
No Sleep Records has signed Lee Corey Oswald. The band is currently finishing their new album, which is expected out later this year.
“We've always been huge fans of what No Sleep is doing in terms of reinstating originality to the music scene,” adds the band’s Lee Ellis. “Their roster is awesome and we're beyond stoked to work with them on this release. Fans can expect 90’s esque indie punk numbers along the lines of Weezer and Knapsack as well as more stripped down acoustic jams in the vein of what our older stuff sounds like but more focused.”
Rescuer will release their sophomore album, Anxiety Answering, on June 3rd via No Sleep Records. It was recorded with Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Joyce Manor). Check out a new song called "Out of Focus" on Brooklyn Vegan, featuring Andy from Frameworks and Madeline Nicholl. If you like what you hear, you can pre-order it.
“Out of Focus” is about growing apart from the people that you grew up with,” Marra adds. “My favorite thing about this song is that our friends Andy (of Frameworks) and Madeline Nicholl drove down from their wedding in Seattle and recorded some vocal parts on this song. It's like our weird wedding gift to them.”

Watch Grey Gordon's new video for “500 Miles” at Noisey. The video was directed by Joshua Ihrie.
"I'm really happy with how this came together,” says Gordon. “The whole idea was hatched and executed within the span of the week. We wanted to do something simple as opposed to overly conceptual. “500 Miles” is a song about coming home, so we thought it would be fitting to keep with that theme and highlight aspects of my day to day life in Indiana. Not included is the 6 hours a night I spend watching Batman the Animated Series and listening to Gucci Mane."
Allison Weiss has launched a tour shop, offering a creative way for fans to receive a unique item from the road.
For a small band, tour is necessary, tour is life, and tour is expensive. In 2011, I started what would later become Tour Shop with the hope of making a little extra gas money, but it became more than that. I wanted to offer something special to those who cared enough to keep me going. Each Tour Shop support level includes all previous levels, and everything is packed and shipped by yours truly. Everything is personal, everything is unique. This year I'll be collecting postcards, taking photos, hunting down souvenirs, and curating a poster series. Help put a little gas in my...
