An entrepreneurial young artist has taken some classic Blink-182 album art (Take Off Your Pants..., Enema of the State and Untitled) and redesigned them into some pretty high quality posters for your bedroom, guest bedroom, rec room, pool house or jacuzzi dealership. Check them out in the replies, and go here to get yourself one or two or three.
When I was home, I played on a Rusko song, I played on something for Datsik, I played on a bunch of albums all week long because the end of the day, man, Blink, you gotta have three people that are all willing to record and write music at the same time. If it can’t happen, that can’t be the end of the world for me. I gotta have other stuff to do or I would fucking claw my eyes out. So being with the Transplants, working on my solo album, until the stars align for Blink to be in the studio I gotta just stay busy. We’re supposed to go in before Reading or Leeds sometime so hopefully it happens.

“After that we did the Neighborhoods record, and we didn’t do that [experiment together] – we weren’t even in the same studio aside for like three days. So this next record, what we’re gonna do is repeat that [the Blink-182 recording experience]. That’s why we wanted to bring back [Blink-182]. We’re about to embark on the exact same trip [as the self-titled record], so I think that’s exciting.”

I’ve never cared when people thought we were just a joke band. We always have just done our thing and written what we like and what was important to us. Luckily, people have stood by us. I feel like the people that marginalized Blink back in the day have now seen that we actually have staying power, and it’s kind of a good feeling.
I had the opportunity to talk with Mark Hoppus this week and he had the following to say about the next Blink-182 record. Check back Monday for the full interview.
It seemed Neighborhoods was a pretty natural progression from the Untitled record, even though it was eight years later, and then I know some of Tom’s Angels & Airwaves influences were in there as well. Do you see the next record going in that direction, continuing that stuff, or do you see it veering off and doing something completely different?
