Star Wars: Episode VII, which is being directed by J.J. Abrams and will be released on December 18, 2015, has announced its cast. John Williams will return as the composer.
John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow (the villain?) will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Leia Organa), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), and Kenny Baker (R2-D2)

Greg Silverman tells The Wall Street Journal that plans are in motion, with Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot set to reprise their roles as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. "It will be a further expansion of this universe," says Silverman. "Superman vs. Batman [sic] will lead into Justice League."

Jesus Christ Superstar, the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical, will be making another touring round. It will feature John Lydon (Johnny Rotten from the Sex Pistols) in the role of King Herod. Additionally, Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams will star as Mary Magdalene, Incubus singer Brandon Boyd will play Judas Iscariot, and 'NSync's JC Chasez will play Pontius Pilate. Ben Forster will play Jesus.
Directed by Nickolas Rossi, the film is billed as “an intimate, meditative inquiry into the life and music of Elliott Smith.” It will feature unreleased songs, personal pictures, and rare footage in addition to interviews with Smith’s friends and collaborators. Among those appearing in the documentary are Smith’s sister Ashley, Joanna Bolme, Jon Brion, Neil Gust, Larry Crane, Rob Schnapf, and many more.
According to Entertainment Weekly, not only is the new Zach Braff helmed movie, Wish I Was Here, good, but it also features new music from Bon Iver and The Shins' frontman James Mercer.
“In this case, it was unique because we sent [music supervisor] Mary Ramos to Wisconsin to show the movie to Bon Iver, and they wrote a song pretty much on the spot,” Braff said. “She sat there in Wisconsin while they wrote a song.”
We're going to be trying out something a little different this year and featuring staff film reviews for the first time.
