The fellas in Late In The Playoffs have been grinding through the mid-west scene for quite some time, but now it's their chance to hit the national spotlight. The band is releasing a new album called Alive & On Your Own soon and we've got the exclusive first look at the band's music video for the single "Golden Years." You can watch them play this song live on tour in May with dates to be announced soon. Watch the video for "Golden Years" in the replies and leave your thoughts.
Remember the Death Cab For CutieThe Barsuk Years LP boxset you could have pre-order last winter? Well, after numerous delays, the sets have started to arrive at people's door steps. Sounds great, right? Well, it seems like more than half of the records in the set were mislabeled. Yikes. While no information or statement from Artist in Residence about the mishap has come forward yet, we'll be sure to update you on the situation when we can.
We have an EP coming out on Equal Vision Records soon. It’s like three songs. He’s happy and I’m really happy with it. When we started playing together again, it came about by me sending him demo songs. Since I’ve been home I’ve just been in the basement writing music. Ideas just keep pouring out. Some of them don’t sound Reggie enough to be Reggie, so I’d send them to Matt. He’d send them back with vocals that would blow me away.
PureVolume has released a new live video of Kevin Devinehere. He joins other artists that are collaborating with Eye Level, a brand new series from Take Part TV. Each episode features a different artist and their cause of choice - Kevin chose to support the Doctors Without Borders.

Kacey Musgraves shows up at number two with 43,500 copies sold of Same Trailer Different Park, while Bruno Mars took third with 41,000 copies of his latest. More notable album sales are included below, including the Lydia debut and Fall Out Boy's single going gold. Overall album sales in this past week totaled 6.1 million units, up 9% compared with the previous week and up 11% compared with the comparable sales week of 2012. Year-to-date album sales stand at 67.5 million, down 6% compared with the same total at this point last year.
I do know that if we’re going to do Destination: Beautiful, more people know Mae for The Everglow than Destination: Beautiful so it would not make sense to do DB and not do The Everglow. So in 2015 we’d have to re-approach that again. We’ve sat across a table over the last several weeks and said, “Well hey, if we did this again what would we want it to look and feel like?” All we know is that when we get together, and we plug in and we play, that’s what feels right. All the business that happens in the middle of it, it just feels right. When you get...
Fall Out Boy have announced new tour dates. Check the replies. The press release for these dates confirms that the "The Phoenix" video is "part 2 of an 11 part video series" and that the band will be performing on Good Morning America on release date. I also posted the track lengths in the album's official forum thread.
The album also features three drummers: Dave Grohl, as was previously reported; Joey Castillo, the band’s now-former drummer; and Jon Theodore, who played drums for The Mars Volta on their first three records and accompanying tours, as well as One Day As a Lion with Zack De La Rocha of Rage Against The Machine. The announcement below is cryptic in just how much of a role Theodore plays, but it’s our understanding that he is the current active drummer in Queens Of The Stone Age.
Today we are premiering the first video in a series of three of Bridge 9 act Goodtime Boys Black Lodge sessions. This is a band that our very own Ryan Gardner was raving about at SXSW. Check out our video of the band performing its song "Breathe" in the replies.

I'm so excited to introduce you guys to Darkhorse, a post-hardcore project from Rochester, NY. The band will be releasing its debut LP The Engineer later this year, which was produced by A Wilhelm Scream's Trevor Reilly and Mike Supina. Combining hard-hitting riffs and powerful vocals from Ian Mclean, this is for fans seeking the aggressive nature of Thrice, the technicality of A Wilhelm Scream, and the heaviness of Deftones. Listen to "I Saw The Devil" in the replies.
As it now stands, after seeking the small amount of legal advice that we could buy ourselves, the crux of this situation is that: regardless of how long we have been using the name, any attempt to stop the other party using it will have to involve a lengthy journey through the courts. In other words, at the end of the day, the person who has the most money and therefore the resource to fight their case to the bitter end, will win. We could pile all of our money into the situation, of course but eventually (probably quite quickly) our money will run out and our battle...
