Metallica's 3D film, Metallica Through the Never, will be playing in IMAX theaters on September 27th, followed by an expanded release on October 4th.
The film marries groundbreaking footage and editing techniques with a compelling narrative, in which a band crew member (played by Dane DeHaan) is sent out on a mission during Metallica's roaring live set in front of a sold-out arena. While on this mission, he unexpectedly has his life turned completely upside down.
Last night, instead of going to the concert with three of her best friends, she was recovering with her mother at Boston Medical Center. But she got a special surprise yesterday when members of two of the bands on the bill ó Mayday Parade and All Time Low ó dropped in to visit her in the hospital.

Michael Kennedy, drummer for The Wonder Years, is doing his first-ever 5K run for charity in Montgomery County, PA. "The Exercise Doesn't Suck 5K" will take place on June 2, and participation in the event is limited to only 30 people. Send an email if you're interested in participating. Kennedy said in a detailed statement, which you can read fully in the replies, that this is a test-run for hopefully bigger charity events in the future.

The Skate and Surf Festival has moved from Plaza Green at iPlay America in Freehold, NJ to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ. Attendees will have access to the theme park with their admission tickets. Also, we can confirm today that Mayday Parade will play the festival as "Bob's Special Guest." The label is based in the UK and puts out releases from wonderful bands who are just under the radar, such as Indian Taker, Things Fall Apart and Nai Harvest.
