So, our shit crashed on black ice. Everyone is ok, gear is ok, but van is janky and shitted on. We’re considering all options for the next few days. Van rental for a week? Rideshare to the next three shows until we get our van back? Bullet train? Living in Seattle?
My text to Kendrick after the show. He deserved best rap album… I’m honored and completely blown away to win anything much less 4 Grammys. But in that category, he should have won IMO. And that’s taking nothing away from The Heist. Just giving GKMC it’s proper respect.. With that being said, thank you to the fans. You’re the reason we were on that stage tonight. And to play Same Love on that platform was a career highlight. The greatest honor of all. That’s what this is about. Progress and art. Thank you. #grammys
Fueled By Ramen paved the way for a lot of artists. One of those was Chicago's August Premier. The band released Fireworks And Alcohol in 2003 and cemented the band's presence in the scene. Over 10 years later and the band is still going strong. Today we're premiering the track "Day Drinks & Daydreams" which can be found in the replies and is from the band's new EP dropping Feb. 18th on Pacific Ridge Records. The album is available for pre-order.
In what might be the most adorable video ever, Annie Clark (St. Vincent) teamed up with Rookie Mag to demonstrate how to perform a rainbow kick. It's seriously the best - check it out in the replies. Her new self-titled album hits stores on February 25th.
On February 25th, The Hotelier will release Home, Like No Place Is There, one of our most anticipated albums of 2014, via Tiny Engines. Today, we are excited to premiere a new song from the record, the raucous and relentless "Life In Drag." It's a little different from the songs previously released from the album, but I think it'll get your blood pumping on this cold January morning. The album is available to pre-order and you can check out the band's upcoming dates in the replies along with the new song.
One last EOTY list: the bold users of the website - known as "Prestigious" members - have contributed their individual "Best Of 2013" lists to create a compiled list. It differs in several regards from the Staff List posted last month - check it out in the replies.

”Flicker, Fade” possesses the sincerity that made me fall in love with Taking Back Sunday in the first place, with its eruptive and incredibly catchy chorus sandwiched with the band’s mastery of soft/loud/soft dynamics, as John Nolan delivers his impassioned yells buoyed the song’s chaotic outro.
