We've been fans of games since we were kids, and we thought it would be fun to create one of our own inspired by our favorites. There are so many cool and innovative indie games being developed today, and we realized we could design and build the kind of game we'd love to play on our own. Right now, my theme is anger. I see it every day...in our scene, all over. It's going to definitely be an angry record, where I talk about the pros and cons of it. I get angry a lot, which is crazy, because people say “Oh you're so passive, you're so this and that...”...I just deal with it differently, I'm 30, I've had years to learn how to deal with my anger. I'm excited to write about it, I feel like it's going to be a fun challenge, and try to spin some positives from it.
Gavin Castleton performed "Stampete" live for the first time last Saturday, with assistance from Pebaluna's Lauren Coleman, Happy Body Slow Brain, and original Happy Body Slow Brain drummer Eduardo Torres. "Stampete" comes from Gavin's 2009 record, Home, a concept record about a love affair interrupted by a zombie apocalypse. Watch the performance in the replies.
Today we are very happy to stream The Venetia Fair's The Venetia Fair...Basically Just Does Karaoke. It's always risky to do a an official release of covers, but in true The Venetia Fair fashion, the band doesn't just do it well, they do it with a style and grace that surpasses expectations the theatrical rock outfit set with previous releases.
