Forming in Reno, NV in January 1980, 7 Seconds was the originator of the West Coast Hardcore sound that influenced just about every hardcore band including; Youth of Today, Gorilla Biscuits and modern day bands like Title Fight and American Nightmare. It is safe to say the band helped start the “Youth Crew” sound. Releasing an EP called “Walk Together, Rock Together” in 1985 officially put them on the map. Their positive lyrical content influenced so many youths over the years and they weren’t afraid to push the envelope.

need a lot of time. I don’t have a problem trying to explain, it helps me see the situation clearer, but clearly propaganda is doing its dirty job. At any encounter people tend to take a negative view on the situation. Everyone I speak to in person changes their opinion after a single conversation. And people become fascinated with the story, showing real and honest interest. There are a lot of people who actually do want to change the country for the better, who admit they have no rights and feel lost.

The Huffington Post has written a well thought out article detailing the rise Kanye West, how he has become the most "egotistical" man in music, the lyrical messages behind "Black Skinhead" and "New Slaves" and more. If you've got a spare ten minutes, I highly suggest giving this a read.
And for as miserable as his wealth has made him by this point (see "Hit the mall, pick up some Gucci/ Now ain't nothing new but your shoes" from 2011's "Murder to Excellence"), he anticipated this back in 2003 in the College Dropout days. Despite being more narratively framed and mildly worded, "All Falls Down" is very thematically similar to "New Slaves" a decade prior: "Shine because they hate us/...
