In support of XEB (original Third Eye Blind members Kevin Cadogan and Arion Salazar with vocalist John Stephens, performing 3EB songs), Cadogan is posting videos playing guitar sections from the first two 3EB records. Quite the innovative guitar player, so they're definitely worth watching - here's "Graduate," "Darkness," "God Of Wine," "1000 Julys," and "Gorgeous."

Amazon.co.uk has released a pretty cool infographic analyzing vinyl tastes, trends, and sales from the last few years - check it out in the replies. Some notable stats: Daft Punk's Random Access Memories is not only Amazon.co.uk's vinyl best-seller of 2013, but their best-seller since 1999. Also, rock music accounted for 55.6% of vinyl listening in 2012, compared to 44.3% in 2004; dance music saw the most drastic drop, falling from 18.9% of all vinyl to 3.9%. Interesting stuff.
All praise. Riot Fest finally kicks off in Chicago today at 4pm local time, and AP.net will be on site providing coverage each day. Refresh yourself on today's lineup/set times and check out the highly anticipated "food lineup" in the replies (they ripped off the Coachella lineup flier – it's pretty funny). Also, feel free to use this thread as an open discussion for all things Riot Fest today and keep up with our Riot coverage all weekend.

Although Morrissey's Autobiography was set to be available throughout the UK on September 16th, a last-minute content disagreement between Penguin Books and Morrissey has caused the venture to collapse. No review copies were printed, and Morrissey is now in search of a new publisher.
Here's something pretty cool: Sidestep, an app that lets you buy concert merch from your phone so it's ready for you at the door on your way out, or shipped directly to you. The beta will be available later this month, though will be used at select dates on the Fall Out Boy / Panic! At The Disco tour, for iOS and Android. Read a statement about the app in the replies. Is this something you'd use?

I will definitely do more of a follow up to Please Come Home, I've been saying it for years, but I just haven't had a fair amount of material for it, so I threw it on the back-burner. So at this point, this was more of a priority and where I'm embedded, and what I'm trying to accomplish through Mars Hill Music. I do apologize to everyone who's waiting for a follow up to that record, it's not that I don't want to do it.

The sixth chapter in Vanna's ambitious 10-part video series, The Few and the Far Between: The Movie, is set to one of my favorite tracks on the record, "Please Stay." The video matches the song's intensity, as our protagonists take mushrooms and trip in the woods. The members of Vanna appear in this one, looking like they're part of Cobra Kai. Check it out in the replies.
Volumes have released a brand new pre-production demo titled "Vahle", which will be on their upcoming sophomore full length on Mediaskare Records, due in early 2014. The song serves as a tribute to a close friend of the band who tragically passed away in an automobile accident. Head to the replies to check it out.
