Xander Bourgeois has left Secrets to pursue other projects in addition to trying to maintain his sobriety.
Hey everyone, its Xander here.
as we know, all good things come to an end, BUT this is definitely not the end for neither myself nor Secrets, but I have made the decision to quit Secrets in order to maintain my sobriety and also make a new band for myself. I love everyone in this band and wish Secrets the best, I hope all of you can understand where I am coming from, I love you guys so much and thank you for the abundance in support throughout the past two years. see you soon.
here is a video I made in order to further explain my decision.

Fat Wreck Chords confirmed that the label will be releasing the upcoming Tony Sly tribute album.
Tony was a fucking amazing songwriter and one of my dearest friends. His death was traumatic. Horrible. Iíve had friends die, but this was different. Tony wasnít finished. Iíve been putting together this tribute comp for some time. Itís incredible how many bands have called me wanting to be on it. Itís been my absolute privilege to put this together. What I wanted to show on this record is how amazing Tonyís songs are. You can tell a song is great when it can be done in any style and itís still great. Thatís what this comp is about. All the bands are doing No Use for a Name songs or...

In a special (belated) The Countdown article today, I'll be ranking my five most anticipated releases for tomorrow's Record Store Day. For vinyl collectors like myself, Record Store Day is our holiday - a day where limited and rare records we thought we might never own can finally be ours. It's also a great day to get foot traffic into your local stores, which is the hook of RSD. It's a fun day to spend with fellow collectors and joining in 'the hunt' for that rare piece. In the replies you'll find my five most anticipated releases. You can see what is all releasing tomorrow here. Also, make sure to include the releases you're excited for tomorrow in the replies as well.
We told you last week about The Wonder Years' pop-up shop going on in Philadelphia during the release week for The Greatest Generation, and now the band has released tickets for each night. The tickets are free - you just have to print them out and bring them with you to the event. However, they are limited, and the final night (featuring an acoustic Wonder Years performance, meet-and-greet and signings) is almost "sold out." Head to the replies to see what's going down each night.
We have ambitious plans for touring in 2013 and beyond. We expect this upcoming album to be our most successful record yet, and we want to be able to play in front of every single person that will to listen to us. This includes all of our fans in the U.S., as well satisfying relentless requests for us to play for our fans overseas. Specifically, we will be supporting Say Anything on their Rarities Tour this Summer (See dates). But, this is going to be more difficult than ever, since we not only have to support ourselves on these tours, but we have four beautiful new mouths to feed, safely transport, and care for. This...
Recorded in 2012-2013 on their first tour in more than a decade, this new set - available on CD as well as double vinyl - is comprised of high-energy live versions of some of the band's most beloved classics.

The Directive is a young up-and-coming pop-punk band from Michigan that is trying to carve its place into the over-saturated genre. With the release of its new EP, I Hope This Helps, the band puts out its most ambitious work to date. Although the EP was released, we're streaming the EP in full. I had the pleasure of spending some time in the studio with Rochester, NY's Scholar while they recorded their full-length debut, which is due out in July. The up-and-coming pop punkers are reminiscent of Rufio, Slick Shoes and old Blink 182. I filmed their recording process and teamed up with the band to create a lyric video to share with you all. Head to the replies to check out "A Hot Dog for Your Buns." If you enjoy it, you can download it here.
