Mosey, featuring JD and Dan of Valencia, have posted up a new song.
Iíve been writing and recording music in one form or another since I was 12 years old. It had always been something I ďjust didĒ and I canít honestly say I ever gave it a fair chance to reach its full potential. But recently, with an extra bit of confidence, a series of liberating events, and an unwavering determination, I decided now is the time and finally made a full-length record of my own. And around it, formed a new band called Mosey. Here is the first song from that record.

My record label was really unsure, but I said ĎLook. Either I go make this record or I go to a mental health clinic. So itís really not your choice: This is what Iím going to do, for my own personal mental health. This is what I have to do, because music is my therapy.í

For today's "countdown" feature, I thought that we could maybe get a good discussion going about our favorite hidden gems in music. I posted a list of some of my favorites a while back in my blog, but I never shared them here. Here are 5 things I find cool about music. What are some of yours?
The Countdown1) The last line from The Format's Interventions & Lullabies is "we all fall down" and the first line to Dog Problems is "ashes to ashes."

2) Brand Newís "Limousine" is about Ö this. I doubt itís possible to watch that video and not cry. Also, that thereís a Track 0 on TDAGARIM.

3) In The Gaslight Anthem's "Meet Me By The Riverís Edge" the lyric, "No surrender, my Bobby Jean" are...

The music industry's most loved/most hated (depending on who you ask) week of the year, SXSW, is here once again! We'll have three staffers down there this year (Eda, Ryan and I) seeing as many bands, parties and free taco-filled events as possible. Daily updates from the three of us each morning will be posted on the home page, and we will also be updating the AP.net live show twitter (@apnetatshow). You can also follow each of us individually on twitter to see what bands and parties we're at at any given moment (@paultao, @alueda, @ryangardnerc). If you're down in Austin for the madness, feel free to say hi to any of us that you run into on the streets! Most of us get in tomorrow...
