Today we're giving away a vinyl copy of Caspian's Waking Season. To win, tell me why you prefer listening to music on wax. I'll pick a winner by the end of the week. Catch the band on its current tour as well - the dates are in the replies.
Speaking of, Blink’s compound guards were told to memorize the faces of the dudes in the band because they didn’t want to have to wear or show passes. That’s a cool perk of being in a 3 piece that I’ve not experimented with yet (side note, Travis wasn’t there, which prompted us to consider that he’s far and away the most famous of those dudes. Can you think of any other band in the history of the world where the [non singing] drummer is the most famous guy in the band? That’s just weird).
Go Radio is doing a camp invasion at Camp Indian Springs to kick off the new Rock Band Camp music program. The band will be teaching the campers theirs skills as musicians. More info is in the replies.
so i was thinking about some of our past features (ones that stuck with me): jay-z, brendon urie, john mayer (guitar), debbie harry, lil wayne, and elvis costello … the features that we have on save rock and roll will be just as diverse- we are fans of all different kinds of music and the features will reflect that. if anything we have gone farther….

Trevor Moore (The Whitest Kids U' Know) will release his debut album, Drunk Texts To Myself, on March 26th via Comedy Central Records. Watch his new video for "The Pope Rap (Modern Day Profit)" in the replies.
Known for his work as a member of the sketch comedy troupe The Whitest Kids U' Know, Moore unleashes a full album of music tempered with skewered social commentary and his irreverent comedy style. Utilizing genres from rap to metal and country to dub-step, the album features songs about the perils of child pop stardom, how the founding fathers were on drugs, and how Tom Hanks is far from being the nicest guy in Hollywood.
Dangerkids have signed to Rise Records and will release their debut album this summer. The band will also support Sleeping With Sirens on their upcoming tour. Hit the replies for the video announcement and tour dates.
Welcome to My Back Pages, a new collaborative staff feature that will survey a landscape of renowned classics and unheralded gems alike, most of which no one around here ever writes a word about. The rules are simple and loose: we won’t cover anything from this millennium and we will avoid all or most AP.net favorites—though we might make an exception if something is nearing a milestone anniversary. Beyond that though, anything is fair game. So if you have an album, artist, or genre you would like to see discussed in this feature, feel free to throw us a few recs.

They are definitely from a personal point of view for me. I try to be poetic and use fairly general themes, without being vague so that the listener can make their own interpretation and decide what the lyrics mean to them to a certain extent. A lot of the general ideas and themes on the album came from a time of reflection I had when I was in Colorado quite a few years ago, which is why we decided to name the album that. I'd say some of the main topics I come back to are: people being deceitful or...

Tiny Engines is quickly becoming one of my favorite indie labels around, so I'm excited that we get to announce their latest signing - Philadelphia's Little Big League. This female-fronted quartet is a bit shoegazy, a bit indie-pop, but totally worth checking out. And check them out you can, as we're also exclusively premiering the band's single, "My Very Own You," in the replies (or over at the band's AP.net profile). Drawing comparisons to Sleater-Kinney and Now, Now, the band will release its debut, These Are Good People, this summer. You can pre-order the band's 7" here.
