Cody Payne has posted a statement in regard to AJ from The Dangerous Summer claiming his bank accounts were drained.
When The Dangerous Summer broke up last September, I walked away from that band not realizing anything was wrong. I was so happy for AJ - he was married to the love of his life, he was becoming a new father and I was nothing but happy for him. We hugged and it was over. That break up was one of the hardest things Iíve ever had to deal with in my life. Yes, we may have had some issues as a band and said things we didnít mean, but we were brothers.

Itís been 9 months and things between us have obviously completely went in the opposite direction. I know I am not...

What's with this trend of music publications telling bands to go on hiatus or hold or whatever? Alternative Press just ran an op-ed about how it's time for a new Saosin album with Anthony Green and for Circa Survive to go on hold. Anthony Green responded on Twitter that this is "kind of bullshit." Between this and the "Blink-182 should go back on hiatus" article from a few weeks ago (that we touched on in our podcast), this level of entitlement and telling artists what they should do and where their creative spark should fire -- is starting to rub me the wrong way.

David Carr, writing for the New York Times:
Late last Thursday, I stopped at the fruit stand and some big, vivid red grapes caught my eye. The vendor said a two-pound bunch would be $6, which seemed steep. I was about to tell him as much, and then came to my senses and gave him the money. I wondered why I hesitated when it came time to pony up and realized that, as just one more participant in the Something for Nothing economy, Iíd grown accustomed to getting all sorts of lusciousness for the price of zero.
