I write songs for people via this website Downwrite. I wrote this one at the request of a wonderful guy named Brandon for his wife Kathy. The song tells the story of their intercontinental struggle for love, as told through some of their favorite TV characters. Shout out to Walter White.
David Gilmour's wife Polly Samson saysPink Floyd will release a new album titled The Endless River on October. Recording originally began during recording sessions for 1994's The Division Bell but was recently reworked. No word on if Roger Waters will be involved, but it seems unlikely.
Btw Pink Floyd album out in October is called "The Endless River". Based on 1994 sessions is Rick Wright's swansong and very beautiful.
At the Montreal, QC stop of Warped Tour, a security guard threw a crowd member to the ground during The Story So Far's set. Will Levy and Parker Cannon stop playing and intervene to help, along with Alan Day of Four Year Strong. Video is below - occurs at the 40 second mark.
Blink-182's Travis Barker recently got his Rolls-Royce Wraith "murdered out." I'm no where near cool enough to know what that phrase means, but there's a photo over here of a car I'd be afraid to breathe on for fear of scratching it. Some more of his collection can be seen here.
MxPx's It Came From Bremerton was released on VHS in 2000, I remember purchasing it from a Sam Goodie or something like that. It's now been uploaded in full to YouTube, so check that out in the replies.

I think it requires more work, but it always should have required more work. There was a brief period of time around a century long when the music industry got involved and figured out how to cater to the laziness of musicians. And we are innately lazy because we’re artists. There are people who work nine to five jobs thanklessly and don’t complain about it ever, and then there’s musicians, a lot of whom are receiving these giant advances from multi-conglomerate companies and essentially getting smoke blown up their ass and they feel like they’re the new Beatles, or at least trying to achieve that.

It’s with great regret that we announce the departure of Tim Arnold. We part as nothing but the best of friends and wish nothing but the best for him. This has been a difficult and mutual decision, largely based on Tim’s recent move to Atlanta in order to start a family.
Good Old War is currently in midst of making what we think is our most exciting album to date, including some songs that Tim has written with us. We’ll be recording them in Nashville next month and will soon announce a Pledge campaign, where we hope to let you in on the making of the album, every step of the way. We hope to be on...

For all the films and programmes about women's role in punk, their recognition has been a problem since the 1970s and it looks like very little has changed. Women were a part of punk from the beginning as musicians, promoters, venue heads, artists, provocateurs, community organisers, documenting their local scenes in zines, films, books and photographs. As LA punk veteran Alice Bag has pointed out, punk started out as an inclusive and diverse movement, but was quickly annexed by white dudes. Women have had to fight for space and recognition in punk ever since.

With tomorrow being the official celebration of America's independence, we thought it was fitting to get a discussion started about songs centered around freedom, America, and independence. Whether that means a song about driving down America's highways, or a song honoring our armed forces, there's certainly music to fit the mood of the 4th. Leave us your favorites in the replies!
