with Chuck Ragan of
Hot Water Music
and he revealed that the band will be taking some time off after its winter tour.
From The InterviewProbably quite a bit of time off in 2013. We may do some stuff here and there if it comes up. Iím completely overloaded already in my own direction. Everybody has got stuff going on all over the place. But who knows? The best part about the band, nowadays to me, is that we just do stuff when it makes sense and have fun doing it. Thereís not a whole lot of pressure. 4 Comments -
sat down with
A Rocket To The Moon
the bandís new single, the continual delay for their new album, hopes for a release time, and more.
From The InterviewWe wrote these songs so long ago and recorded them so long ago. A majority of the record was recorded a year ago in January and February. Weíve had most of these songs done for a while now. We have trust in our team, but absolutely. Not being able to give our fans what they want to hear is tough. It was supposed to be out in the spring and then the fall. We just want to give them new music and to go out and play that new music. It takes a little bit of the excitement out of things. When you have a finished... 7 Comments -
PropertyOfZack sat down
with Joe Boynton of
and talked about the evolution of his writing for the band's next album.
From The InterviewItís a really natural writing process. Itís like weíre writing the way we used to with Stay Home andThis Will Not Define Us. The songs donít sound the same, but itís the method and sequence of how weíre writing the songs. Itís a similar recipe, but itís not coming to come out the same. Listen & Forgive was completely different. It could sound similar, but songs like ďOver Your HeadĒ and ďSkipping StoneĒ grow as they move along. Thatís what weíre trying to hone in. We want that growing build up. You have a climax in a song and thereís momentum. It... 23 Comments -
Update: Chris Taylor, the former drummer, has sent us a message that he wasn't kicked out of the band, rather he and the band mutually agreed to part ways. You can watch his brief statement here.

. They discussed plans for writing and recording new music, record label shopping, and much more.
From The InterviewWeíve got to start hammering out what label is going to be best for us. In a perfect world, weíll go back with Gil again. He was the best weíve ever worked with and put our best foot forward with him. Itíd be great to have that again. Maybe do it in a different state. We did it in Woodstock and Hoboken. Itíd be cool to go to California. Your surroundings to reflect on the album. Thatís why Shudder sounds happy to me; we were all in California under the sun. In a perfect world, we hope thatís an option. 26 Comments -

From The IntervewAdam: Thatís still left to be seen. I donít know if youíve noticed, but rock music isnít doing that well right now because people just steal it. Itís interesting because with pop or country music, thatís still selling well. The demographic isnít stealing as much.
John: Itís also being played on the radio. 26 Comments -

From The InterviewWe were in Rolling Stone. I thought that was cool for a bunch of dudes who put out a record without a label. That is pretty cool and made my parents real proud. 10 Comments -
Ben Liebsch of
You, Me, And Everyone We Know
and discussed the future of the band.
From the InterviewIím very hesitant to say that Iím definitely putting a band together and definitely playing shows, but finishing and hearing this EP has allowed me to see that I can do this sober and that I donít have to be in some tortured state to write the way I was writing. I can look down that hole without being in it. Thatís kind of what it was. It confirmed for me that Iím able to do this without a compromised mental and abusive situation. In theory, if all goes well, Iím hoping to put a band together over the next few months once Iím settled in Pennsylvania and... 30 Comments -

is aiming to record in February or March for an early-fall release. They are currently label-free but will be signing a deal in the near future.
From The InterviewWe havenít as a band come together yet, but I have a lot of ideas that Iím really excited about. We all have ideas. Weíve started to show each other some of them, but once we get done with touring weíll get together and start working on new stuff. Hopefully we can go to the studio in February or March. Weíll have to see how it goes. Thatís the plan for now. 26 Comments -
and talked about her acoustic project that will release in early 2013, going back to Warner for her next record, and beginning recording of said record in 2013.
From The InterviewYou have to be careful. Itís their job to want to make you bigger. Itís your job as an artist to stand for what you know is right. You canít bend too far for the sake of making someone happy. Iíll be defending my artistic integrity till death. It got close last summer, but itís so important to me. I have that vision that goes a lot further down the road. Iíll take that to the grave with me. Iíll be defending good songs and will be saying things I want to say. Itís... 11 Comments -

From The InterviewNo Warner. The ideal position is to pay for the recording ourselves, have an album done, and see what happens from there. Whether that means signing a one record deal with somebody or trying our hand again independently. Weíd also like to create worldwide distribution. We hadnít had the means in the past. We recently teamed up with a record company from Italy that combined Pioneer and The Good Love together. We finally had physicals a year later. Weíre interested in seeing our options. We donít know whoís going to produce it yet, but we want to be in the hands of constructive criticism. 8 Comments -
