From The InterviewWe know that you were recording an EP with Ace Enders. Is that done?
Carmen: Yeah, weíre mixing it right now. We started doing it in late-July, but we had some touring and other stuff we were committed to. After this, weíre getting back into the studio. Itís all done tracking. We just have to mix it. Itís just about wrapped up. Thereís still a lot of little, minor things to work out. Itíll go by quick.

PropertyOfZack has a new "Label Talk" feature this week with the founder of Triple Crown.
From The InterviewTo finish things up, thereís hope of a Deja reissue. Is that possible?
[Laughs] If I donít get ten requests for that in a week, I think something is wrong. Yeah, weíre really close to everyone in Brand New. Iím a fan first, and theyíre all friends of mine. Theyíre very concerned with how this stuff comes out. Itís not something that I just want to ship out. Jesse has a definitive idea of how he wants stuff to look. Aesthetically, if you look at the Your Favor Weapon reissue, it fits in where they started to go with Devil And God and Daisy, aesthetically speaking. There have been...
Drew Beringer on 09/20/12 - 12:26 PM

Check out PropertyOfZack's interview with Tom May of The Menzingers here.
From The InterviewUnless something comes up, weíll probably take it easy in the winter. Winterís a pain in the ass. Iím sure weíll be writing towards another album, but nothing will be set in stone. Writing, practicing, and getting back into it. Thereís not much time to practice, rehearse, and write on tour. You can write in the van, but you canít write too much together as a band. When weíre not working at home, weíll just meet up every day and hash out a bunch of songs.
Drew Beringer on 09/14/12 - 02:25 PM
PropertyOfZack sat down with Josh Scogin (The Chariot) to discuss the band's latest album One Wing and more.
From The InterviewWe try to do it with everyone album. Sometimes the door is open and we step through it, and sometimes we completely shove open a door. There are new sounds on this record weíve never done before, and you couldnít say that we would have made those sounds beforehand, but at the end of the day, it came across exactly like we wanted. Thatís a door that we forced open, but itís not forced in a bad way. Itís something where we expand our boundaries. Thatís always a struggle with art and the power of the media. You write what you need to write. I donít care about what...

PropertyOfZack sat down with Joey Thunder of The Cab to discuss their upcoming tour with Maroon 5.
From The InterviewOur management team works with Maroon 5, and that was a big part of it. Itís been a waiting game. Weíve been waiting for them to do a tour for a year now. The puzzle fit, and we took the opportunity. We had to cancel a UK run, which is horrible, but when you get a call like that, you canít say no. Weíre going to make it to the UK again, but you canít say no to Maroon 5. Theyíre on a whole different level.

PropertyOfZack recently sat down with Chris Carrabba (Further Seems Forever & Dashboard Confessional) and discussed how the upcoming FSF record came to be, the future of FSF, and more.
From The InterviewI donít really know how to answer that. Iím not really sure. We have dates planned around the record release, and weíre planning a lengthier tour as well. Iím aware that Iím the only guy who can say yes to anyway we want to do it. I canít be the one to answer that. I think itís likely that weíll do a lot of touring on this record since they havenít toured in years, and they love it. I could see us touring a lot on this record, but I donít know. Iím wondering the same thing myself. I...

PropertyOfZack has a couple of track-by-track features today, one with Echo Base and one with With The Punches. They also have an interview with Anberlin discussing the band's new record.
From the Aneberlin InterviewWorking with Brendan OíBrian was a dream come true, but we made the moodiest record weíve ever made. We definitely felt like we were missing a lot of our aggression, and we made up for that on our new record. It felt fun to write heavy rock songs again and to write faster music, but still develop towards something different.

Property of Zack has a couple of Road Noms features with Dan from Set Your Goals to check out, along with playlists from Citizen / Turnover and Mixtapes / With The Punches, and an interview with Miss May I.
From the Interview No, our biggest thing is that weíre all about being oldschool. We donít like the keyboards or the dubstep or that crazy stuff. Our biggest thing was to step away and tone it down some; to play our instruments and be and oldschool thrash metal band

Adam McIlwee from Tigers Jaw will be featured on the new Code Orange Kids record.
From the InterviewI donít wanna say a ton about it until it comes out but I truly feel it brings in elements of everything we have done from the demo until now and i believe it is the best thing that we as a band have created. It has our heaviest parts, our fastest parts, our weirdest parts, our creepiest parts and our prettiest parts. I am so excited about it. Adam from Tigers Jaw also sings a whole song and he is one of our best friends/ they are one of our favorite bands so we are stoked about that.

Today, PropertyOfZack has an interview with Motion City Soundtrack where the band gives some information about its upcoming Making Moves 7" release, which is due out in fall.
From the InterviewWell, we had one song that we thought was the single that was super poppy and catchy, of the 7Ē. Then we had another song that was super slow and weird. It never made it to the last record we recorded, actually the last two records we recorded. But then we used it for this. And I think we like that song even more than the song that was going to be the single. We were rehearsing that in there for the first time ever and I think we are going to trying to play it tonight. None of us have played it...
