Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day) and his wife Adrienne will be featured on Junk Gypsies.
Green Day front man and rock'n'roll hall of famer, Billie Joe Armstrong, and his wife, Adrienne, own an old airstream trailer and as a special surprise to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary, Adrienne has asked the Junk Gypsies to renovate the trailer and make it into a 'surf shack on wheels' that Billie can take out surfing with his buddies. Amie and Jolie hit the road for inspiration and to find a surfboard for the airstream. They build a table out of a surfboard and turn the airstream into a 'Zen, rock'n'roll surf shack' for Billie Joe.

Cartel did an interview with Buzzfeed.
However, the actual release is different than the way we initially intended. “Matter of Time” was supposed to be number eight, I believe?]Oh, yeah, so the label was like, “‘Matter of Time’ is the hit, man, we’ve got to move it up.” So it turned out to be fourth and it ruined our tuning order.

Another day, more radio silence regarding this. Some bands have spoken out, some remain silent, others about to embark on huge tours have deleted their tweets, and the band in question has said nothing. I checked their website today because I was curious when their next tour started. Not only because I was curious to see who their upcoming tourmates were and what they had said about this entire thing (looks like nothing), but I wanted to know the dates and get a feel for the timeline of everything coming up. To my surprise I see the AP.net logo sitting on their tour imagery. This is about the time my blood starts to boil. I turned down this sponsorship "opportunity" (so many air quotes)...

Neal Avron talks about how he got involved with Fall Out Boy and reflects on recording From Under the Cork Tree.
I was contacted by Rob Stevenson, who was [Fall Out Boy’s] A&R guy at Island Records. Basically he told me he had this band, Fall Out Boy, and I don't believe I had specifically heard of them. He was very excited about me being involved in the record and said he thought I’d be a perfect fit and could he send me some demos from the upcoming record, which he did. They probably were on CDs at that point. I don't remember how many he sent me—maybe five, a handful—and my initial reaction was that I was not interested in doing the record. I just felt like the songs weren’t that...
