Keith Goodwin and Tim Arnold from Days Away who have a new band with Dan Schwartz from Unlikely Cowboy have decided on a permanent name for their new project that they used to just call KDT. They will now go by the name Castles. Their myspace has some demos and recent clips of them performing live on their tour with Anthony Green with Anthony on backing vocals.
At the Days Away show tonight, Keith Goodwin announced that Days Away had broken up actually 2 weeks ago. They played a few Days Away songs, one with Anthony Green, and he also said that they will continue to make music with some of the same members under a different name.
Members of Days Away and Dan Schwartz are currently in the studio with Matt Robnett and Nik Tyler (PlayWork Productions) working on material for their side project, Unlikely Cowboy. There are no immediate plans to make the project a full-time venture and no focus will be taken from Days Away.
Days Away have made a new song entitled "I'll Be Lost" available for streaming on their myspace profile. The track is taken from the quintet's forthcoming effort, Ear Candy for the Headphone Trippers, which is scheduled for release tomorrow via digital retailers.
Days Away will be on Refused.tv's blog/podcast the next few days, being interviewed and taking over the airwaves with songs they want to play. The band wants their fans to send in the questions and they will answer them on the podcat - deadline is tomorrow at 1 PM PST. Email questions to email@example.com.
The band will also be playing a few shows the next week or so.
Purevolume is currently featuring the new video from Days Away for a new song entitled "Sorry I Told You All My Problems". You can check it out here. The band is currently touring the US with Goodbye Tomorrow and The Working Title.
Days Away have made their previous album, Mapping An Invisible World, available for download here. In other news, they are working on a new EP. The first single will be "I'm Sorry I Told You All My Problems," which we should see on their Myspace in the near future.
