The Junior Varsity have broken up.
Message From The Band hey guys,

andy here with TJV.

If you've come to a show lately, you've surely been surprised by the current lineup. If you havent heard yet, asa quit the band and weve had our friend brandon carnes covering the lead singer/bass player duty until we decided what we want to do.

As it looks, all the current members of TJV are going to head back to college. So we're sort of putting this thing on the back burner. We might do some shows here and there for fun, but we probably will not be touring as a band again. We have a show on Saturday November 10th at Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois. Currently, this is our last booked...
Joe DeAndrea on 10/21/07 - 11:06 AM
Despite the rumors, The Junior Varsity are not breaking up.
Message From BandTJV didnt break up. Asa quit the band. Not everyone has quit. Its just taking some time to figure out exactly what we are going to do. We are currently playing shows with a temporary lead singer/bass player. Basically, we had to get someone that could play a show last week with one days notice. Asa quit and refused to play out our contracted engagements. We're still playing Cleveland on Wednesday this week. Come support if you'd like. This is still the best record we have put out.

Olamide Adeyooye's killer has pleaded "guilty" to all charges against him and was given a sentence of life in prison. Her boyfriend, Andy Wildrick of The Junior Varsity has written a statement for the Associated Press below on his reaction.
MessageI have dwelled on this all day and haven't really known how I should
react to this unexpected event. It has taken some thinking.

I am glad that justice was fairly served and that this man will never
see the light of day as a free person again. The people of the
community should sleep better knowing that this man is now

As far as me, this event marks the final closure for the hardest event
I will ever have to endure in my life....

The Junior Varsity would like to appologize from the bottom of their hearts to the enormous crowd whom stood in the rain, lightning, and thunder waiting for them to play yesterday before Jack's Mannequin at Summerfest in Milwaukee. Apparently, The Junior Varsity was one of only 2 bands in the last 12 years not able to play due to weather conditions.
