Longtime Reel Big Fish trombone player Dan Regan has left the band to spend time with his family.
Reel Big Dan Regan, here. Sad news, friends: I am retiring from Reel Big Fish. It's been nearly 20 glorious, action packed years, with all of you. At this point in my story, I am needed at home. I have two kids who deserve to have a father around. While I've enjoyed watching you kids grow up (and keeping you older kids young), I feel that the best thing for me, right now is to jump off the road and get a job at home. I just miss my children too much, when I'm gone.

The Reel Big Fish guys, because they're the best ever, have generously told me that I'm welcome back, any time. So...

Reel Big Fish recently donated proceeds from their Denver, Colorado show to the victims of the Aurora Theater tragedy.
Message From the BandLast Thursday night, Reel Big Fish played to an amazing Denver crowd. The night was buzzing with positive energy as the last notes of the horns blared and the audience poured into the dark to head home. Little did we all know; right down the street, a tragedy of unspeakable horror was unfolding, in Aurora. Because of the love that Denver always shows us, we would like to do what we can for the friends and families of the victims. Proceeds from our show at the Belly-up in Aspen, CO last Friday July 20 will go to The Colorado Organization for Victim...

Message From The BandAfter 16 years he has decided to end his adventures with the Reel Big Fish and begin his aventures as a father! He has decided to stop living the wild rock and roll life and settle down and be a family man. He was never very fond of our constant touring schedule and after he got married a couple of years ago he was even more miserable than ever when he was away from home. As soon as the baby came, he said, "I knew I could never leave again".

Southern California-area ska-rock outfit Reel Big Fish have issued yet another rebuttal in response to their former record label, Jive Records, and the ill-favored release of their recent greatest hits collection, Greatest Hit and More. You can read what the six-piece outfit had to say below.
Reel Big Fish StatementSo Jive just sent us a box of the "Greatest Hit" album (how nice of them) and i couldn't resist popping it in the old CD player and checking it out. To my absolute horror i realized that they did a really awful re-mastering job and made all the music sound like CRAP!! it sounds like somebody went in and cranked up the low end and now the bass and kick drum are obnoxiously...
