Darren King, drummer for Mute Math, has posted a collection of royalty free drum samples for purchase on That Sound.
This enormous drum library captures the untamed style of Darren King in great detail. These signature sounds are dirty and messy in the best of ways. Darren’s favorite drums from your favorite records recorded with vintage gear and tape machines. Darren’s drums are overtly processed and pushed hard through API pre amps, various compressors, and Studer and Teac tape heads.
We recorded 7 Kicks, 9 Snares, 2 sets of toms, Hi-hat, Ride, and 2 Crashes all in great detailed multi-velocity. We couple those multi-velocity samples with hundreds of unique “one-shot” samples.
Mutemath have posted an alternative version of "In No Time" that you can stream in the replies.
Many times we record multiple versions of songs for an album to make sure we find the best framework for a song idea. Especially our favorite ones. When we turned in Odd Soul to WB, there was debate on whether or not In No Time needed a more conventional approach. And although we tried, we wound up sticking with the original, more unconventional version, which is what is on the album. But here's the unreleased alternate version, which is still a nice listen.
MUTEMATH has long earned fans with its explosive live shows, and today it's about to gain a few more. We're proud to premiere "Allies", the newest video from the acclaimedOdd Soul, which is constructed from live and behind-the-scenes footage from past performances. Keyboardist Paul Meany tells AP.net exclusively: "We wrote 'Allies' specifically with the live show in mind, so we couldn't really see a video for this song any other way." Watch it in the replies.
Head over to Mutemath's site to listen to the title track off the band's new record, Odd Soul. Each piece of the song is split into 6 different parts for each instrument so you can mix the audio however your heart desires. Have fun and enjoy.
