Koji has put his discography up for donations on bandcamp to raise money for Ebola awareness.
I’m giving away my entire discography and collecting donations via my bandcamp to raise funds to combat the Ebola outbreak in west Africa. Over 1,500 people have died in Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Senegal, and the Democratic Republic of Congo because of Ebola and many more are infected. The lack of clean water and medical personnel/supplies are major factors standing in the way of containment of the deadly virus. I will be donating money from my bandcamp to Charity: Water and Doctors Without Borders.
When people come together, they can make a huge difference. There is an...
There's a new compilation called Tallahassee Calling, Vol. Ion Bandcamp for free download, and it features a new Look Mexico demo as well as a new Echo Base song (check that one out in the replies). There are 14 bands in total from the DIY emo / punk scene in Tallahassee, FL.
As for the songs, I just finished them and got everything back a couple of days ago! Very excited. They’re not scrapped songs but actually would have been my new Captain songs. I wrote a record myself the past year, but with the new stuff we’re gonna write more as a band than just Leo and I coming in with songs. So instead of scraping them I decided to record them.
Head to the replies to check out Rob Lynch's new song, "Whiskey." The track is from his upcoming album, All These Nights In Bars Will Somehow Save My Soul, which will be released on September 23rd via Xtra Mile Recordings. If you're a fan of Frank Turner, this will be right up your alley.
This Will Destroy You have released a new track from their upcoming album, Another Language, which is set to drop on September 16th via Suicide Squeeze Records. Head to the replies (via Noisey) to stream "Invitation."
Soundsupp.ly have put together at drop just for Defeater. There are four albums from the band available on Digital, CD or Vinyl. The company will also be donating a portion of every sale to help Derek pay for his hip replacement surgery.
Sleeping At Last released the full 30 song Atlas: Year One collection today. It is also on sale for $9.99 on iTunes (while not announced, it is $9.50 on Google Play right now too). And if you missed it, you can get the full 36 song Yearbook collection for free over on Noisetrade for this week only.
One of the most underrated voices to emerge from the scene is back. David Cook (ex-My Favorite Highway) has released a new song under the group The Spacies. Hit the replies to stream their newest song, "Out Of Time."
This week's Free Music Wednesday showcases an innovator in the world of yoga, meditation, and the healing arts. East Forest’s Trevor Oswalt has created a new type of aural experience using music as a “technology,” combining modern scientific sound healing knowledge with the organic field recordings of people and places he encounters along the way — a way that can intentionally facilitate a heightened odyssey of body, mind, and spirit.
Reminiscent of Sigur Rós, Balmorhea, Ólafur Arnalds or The Album Leaf, his music weaves ethereal soundscapes from his vintage keys, intimate vocals, and original field recordings. Listen to the blissful, gentle and uplifting Prana EP, and download...
Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger teamed up with Hans Zimmer and Blink 182's Travis Barker for a new song. "Til Everyone Can See" will be released on June 12th as part of International Labour Organization's Red Card to Child Labour campaign.
Ryan Rockwell, best known as the frontman for pop-punk act Mixtapes, is excited to independently release a brand-new album today called I Hate How Normal I've Become. This release comes under the project name Youth Culture and is available right now on Bandcamp. Check the replies for the full press release.
If all goes well, I'll be seeing Pennsylvania's poppy surf rockers Wish Listtonight. After their own set, they'll be putting aside their lo-fi Weezer aesthetic to play as Infinity Crush's full band. Sounds twice as nice to me, so you can stream or download their self titled LP for free (or pay-what-you-want) either in the replies or on bandcamp. My personal highlight is "Always On A Sunday," but fans of Wavves will probably want to give the whole thing a listen. Be sure to share any free (legal) music you may have made or stumbled across in the replies as well!
