Well, we've made it to 60 episodes of the AbsolutePunk Podcast. Damn. This episode also feels like the first in a while where the whole gang's back together. Topics this week include: some alcohol talk and favorite drinks, follow-up on how CD decluttering is going, diving into the whole process of looking for new staff members and the state of online writing/publishing. We finish this episode talking about how the end of the year is coming and how we need to start preparing for putting together our lists and making sure we don't forget anything and we touch on our thoughts on 10 year album shows as well. The episode can be streamed and/or downloaded below.

"I tell people condoning streaming is like condoning the Chinese that are killing elephants for their tusks and carving ivory statues,” he railed. “It’s cool to put on your shelf but if you really think about what you’re doing it sucks. Streaming music is doing the same thing to artists – might not be killing ’em but it’s killing the industry. It might be cool for you as somebody that likes music but you’re not really thinking about the effect it has. We’ve got to value our art, you know?"
As the current Bill Cosby situation has demonstrated, we, as a culture at large, are still struggling with how to talk about, deal with, and handle horrible accusations. There are no easy answers. No "go to" steps that you can follow and feel as though you've done the right thing every single time. In the past few days direct accusations against Austin Carlile have been made on YouTube, Tumblr, Instagram, and the internetat large. After spending some time talking with others in our community, and the staff as a whole, I do believe it's important that we present the information as it stands.
"This book is a collection of stories from real women who have real struggles with sex addiction, masturbation and pornography. This topic is rarely addressed from a female Christian point of view and we are very thankful to be able to share it," commented BadChristian.

"If I saw the two next to each other, I would have personally asked to make a few changes and not make the vinyl the same… I mean I wouldn't have let that slide personally but I don't give a shit what other bands do… I do feel bad that those guys have to deal with all this drama right now during the release of their album. I'm sure they worked really hard on it."
I was lucky enough to filmThe Swellers one last time at their last New England show ever last week. Head to the replies to watch the full set, in which the band performs virtually nonstop for nearly an hour and a half to a packed house with a setlist than spans their career.
Just a friendly reminder to make sure you check us out on other social networks. We are on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Last.fm, and Rdio. The AP.net staff can also be found elsewhere online -- this page has the goods. Show us some love.

We’re stoked to get up a brand new site for the band. We’ve been a little quiet in the show department over the last few months. I’ve been back in school learning how to do stuff like this nice little website. The good news to that is we’ve been jamming pretty steadily and have written a few new songs. We’ll have updates on what that’s turning into soon. We’ll also be playing a show in Calgary on November 26th. Be sure to check out all the tabs on the site and send us a message on the “contact” section if you have any comments, or want to ask us questions. We’ll try to answer as soon as we can. Also be sure to welcome Casey Lewis to the band. A few of...
