In a new interview with The Fader, hip-hop producer Metro Boomin says that the final touches are being put on Metro Thuggin, his much anticipated collaboration with Young Thug, and that the project will be out soon.
It's really at the end of mixing now. Just fine tuning and making sure everything's perfect. Once you put it out, you can't go back, so it's just little things like that. It'll be out soon just for the simple fact that I don't want to keep people waiting. As a fan, I find that irritating. That's what helps me in my career: I know how to relate to people, knowing what they want. I'm still on the blogs, reading everything, downloading the songs. I already know how I used...
Well, recently, the charges were dropped against Evans. Represented by the ACLU, Evans through an ACLU attorney stated "Evans is relieved that these very serious criminal charges have been dismissed, and he is grateful for all of the support he has received during this difficult time. A conviction on first-degree terroristic threatening could have landed Evans in jail for up to 10 years."
I posted comments about Jian Ghomeshi the day after he was dismissed by the CBC where I rushed to defend my manager of 12 years. I am now aware that my comments appear insensitive to those impacted and for that I am deeply sorry. This is to confirm that as of now I will be parting ways with Jian Ghomeshi as my manager.
Just a friendly reminder to make sure you check us out on other social networks. We are on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Last.fm, and Rdio. The AP.net staff can also be found elsewhere online, this post highlights where. Show us some love.

Lights' manager Jian Ghomeshi has beenaccused by eight women "of violence, sexual abuse or harassment." Lights originally had posted an open letter of support on Facebook (link to cached version), but that has since been deleted.
Eight women from across Canada now accuse former CBC host Jian Ghomeshi of abusive behaviour ranging from allegations of beating and choking without consent, to workplace sexual harassment. [...] Ghomeshi, 47, was fired Sunday from his job as host of Q, a flagship radio show of the publicly funded broadcaster. Ghomeshi has alleged in a lawsuit filed the next day that CBC made a “moral judgment” that his practice of a bondage-sadism sex life was wrong. He is...
According to a fan submission from the Jimmy Eat World show last night -- they were recording the performance. I got a kick out of the "source" being "I'm staring at crowd mics right now." Well played ManchesterOrch8.
The agreement covers all seven of the sisters' studio album releases and will also take in songs from their next album, which they are expected to begin writing early next year. [...] In addition to songs for their own albums, Tegan and Sara said in a statement they also intend to expand their "unique songwriting brand with co-writes and toplines for other artists."
Nirvana's MTV Unplugged In New York turns 20. Stereogum takes a look at the stripped down classic:
If you want to hear MTV Unplugged In New York as the howl of a soul approaching the abyss, you can do that. There’s an intense vulnerability in hearing Cobain’s voice so unadorned, without the scrape-roar guitar sound that he used, at least to some extent, as armor. His version of the Vaselines’ version of “Jesus Doesn’t Want Me For A Sunbeam” feels instantly mythic, and it’s entirely possible to hear “don’t expect me to die” as “please expect me to die.” On “Where Did You Sleep Last Night,” his voice gets so wracked and feral as the song builds that he finally sounds something like a...

The Ghost Inside have come a long way since I first saw them on Bring Me The Horizon's Suicide Season U.S. Headlining tour in 2008, and since then I've been a huge fan. From playing tours such as the Atticus Metal tour, the AltPress tour, and eventually hitting main stage this year at Warped Tour, the band has worked incredibly hard to get where they are today. So with that being said, this weeks AbsolutePlaylist is dedicated to one of my favorite bands, and some of my favorite songs of theirs from the last 6 years or so. Head to the replies to check it out. If you liked what you heard, you can catch the band this November/December on their co-headliner with Every Time I Die - tickets...

'The Wolfpack' is the first single from our upcoming album, ‘The Dream Walker,’ which is part of a bigger trans-media project called ‘Poet Anderson The Dream Walker.' The song is a bit of a journey in and out of the many teeth of the music business - an industry that can be a sexy girl on one hand, but a vicious axe murderer...

“There is something special about growing up in and around Chicago,” Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz said in a statement. “It is in the DNA of everything we do ... The red and black is inescapable. We are honored to be a part of this new chapter of the Bulls musically but truly we feel like we've always been there.”
