Stream The Company We Keep's new album in its entirety on Property Of Zack - one of my favorites this year (and make sure you check out Tanner from O'Brother's guest spot on "Exposed"). There's still time to pre-order Sound/No Sound on the band's webstore. Thoughts?
Our friends at PropertyOfZack are hiring. They have positions available including writers, design, newsletter and interviews. More information is in the replies.

We have positions open in most areas of the site, so check out what we’re looking for and who to get in touch with below!
"No Matter How Narrow" is the second full-length album from The Republic Of Wolves, written and recorded after a nearly two-year hiatus following their 2011 EP "The Cartographer." As with their earlier releases, the album was recorded, produced, and mixed by the band themselves, although the process was more chaotic; the band's home studio setup migrated between three different locations throughout the roughly four months of recording, as all four members worked around various time constraints to make it happen. Dan Gluszak (ex-Envy On The...
Well, I thought it was sooner than it was, but I was told (and I forgot about this) when I was doing The Color Spectrum, I did a living room tour on my way out to start recording one of the EPs. At one of the acoustic shows, somebody asked me something and my response was, “I’d really love to do a symphony.” It’s always kicked around in my head, but I’ve always been aware of my ignorance. I always knew that, “Ok, now’s not the time. I don’t know enough now.” Finally, during the The Color Spectrum show that we played, I had to force myself...
Just shows maturity. The newest record is very theatrical. It almost feels like a movie soundtrack from start to finish. It’s really awesome. A lot of orchestra stuff playing a big role in the record. It’s just – it’s more mature. I think that our younger audience is going to love it – certain aspects of it – and our older audience is going to really appreciate how far we’ve come as artists. They’re really going to love the record too. It’s great.
PropertyOfZack has a new op-ed article on how the cancelation of Electric Zoo due to drugs and the way the mainstream news is reporting on the event could affect our music scene and the surrounding ones. Let us know your opinions on the discussion.
PropertyOfZack has posted a new Discussion on 'Major Shifts In Sounds' from bands in our scene (think: Catalyst to Coming Home, Your Favorite Weapon to Deja, etc.). What are some of your favorite or least favorite changes in sound for bands?
PropertyOfZack have released the second part of its "Inside" feature on the oral history of Run For Cover Records. The new segment features videos of label owner Jeff Casazza and other RFC employees explaining their work flow, the magic behind the label, and how their popular video segments were created. You can view all of those in the replies.
When do you plan on recording?
I’m not exactly sure. I’d like to this year, but time is closing down on us. I’d like to this year.
POZ: Is most of the record written at this point?
Nathan: It’s written and demoed out. I’m writing some more just to have. The Season was 12 cut town to 10. I want this to be 20 cut down to 10.
PropertyOfZack have released a new feature (and new site) titled "Inside." In its inaugural edition, POZ goes inside Run For Cover Records.
My motivation for graduating college was pretty much solely to have time to get a handle on Run For Cover, and when I got my last semester of grades and knew I graduated, it was definitely one of the happiest and relieving moments of my life. It was like the worst thing in my life was immediately gone and I had complete freedom to dedicate all my time to exactly what I wanted to do, and most importantly I had a job day one after graduating. So many people in my classes graduated in 4 years with honors and couldn’t find any work in a major city. I...
PropertyOfZack recently sat down with William Beckett and spoke about his upcoming debut full-length, opening up about his personal life, and more. Check it out here.
William: Yeah, well I mean ending the band was a big part of it. Because, not to get too into it, but certainly I wasn’t necessarily… what’s the best way to put it… I wasn’t necessarily encouraged to talk about my private life because of my band. From my band.
POZ: It would be bad for the fanbase if they knew you were not “available?”
William: Which in my opinion is fucking stupid! And it was really uncomfortable for a long time. So as soon as I was able to…
Have you recorded or demoed out any new tracks?
We’ve been demoing this whole year. We’re just trying to be as prepared as possible before we go into the studio next time. We recorded Get Up Kids cover for a compilation that’s coming out.
POZ: What song did you do?
Joe: “Campfire Kansas.” We got it back, and everyone is so excited. That’s one of my favorite bands and I didn’t want to fuck it up. We’re all excited about that....
