Our plan is to start at Irving Plaza and go from there. There are pieces of land on this planet that we want to bring our gear onto and play on. I don’t think the UK would allow us to reunite and not come visit them. I think the hatred and frustration would implode the whole country, so we’re definitely going to come over there, I think. I mean, I’d like to. Brandon and I are the two biggest Anglophiles in the band, so the two of us definitely want to visit.
I Am The Avalanche guitarist Brandon Swanson recently announced via Instagram that he is to play his final show with the band on December 26th.
Friends, this is going to be my final show with IATA. I'd love it if you could join us for for the show. I'm gonna have as much fun as possible, probably some beers and some tears. But lots of smiles and hugs as well. Hope to see you there. [...] Just to clear the air, I didn't get kicked out or anything. I feel very accomplished in the 10 years I spent recording records and touring the world with my brothers. It's just time for me to close this chapter so I can focus on other things I want to try my hand at in my life. Viva 2015! Love y'all.
I Am The Avalanche has announced a summer headlining tour along the East Coast in support of its latest LP, Wolverines. They'll bring along Somos and Rust Belt Lights for the trek and the dates are in the replies.
During the show I'll be taking requests, answering questions (think of good ones!), chatting with all of you and playing a lot of my solo stuff plus I Am the Avalanche and The Movielife songs too of course. Might even play some brand new Avalanche songs, who knows. So tell everyone you know about this show and don't forget that I'm going to be giving away some very cool personal possessions I've been collecting for years, including Avalanche and Movielife rare numbered vinyl and super limited edition posters, plus the guitar I wrote Avalanche's last album on. My top supporters who attend the show could...
We are really looking forward to our holiday shows coming up later this month in CT, Rhode Island and Long Island. Mike and Kellen will make their return to the stage and will be playing their final shows with I Am The Avalanche. These 3 shows will be beautiful occasions and a celebration of our friendship. Be sure to get your tickets if you haven't already, since these will truly be shows to remember.
Our new full-length record is now completely finished and news about our album, our touring plans (home and abroad), and new members joining us will roll out shortly. Cheers!

After years of fronting popular indie punk act I Am The Avalanche and formerly hardcore punk band The Movielife, accomplished New York songwriter Vinnie Caruana is announcing plans to release his debut solo EP out early 2013 on I Surrender / Run For Cover Records. Between writing the new album for his full-time project I Am The Avalanche, Caruana has recently entered the studio with RX Bandits member Steve Choi at Bright Mountain studios in California where he'll remain until October 27th.
With all of the commotion going on around the website the past few hours, I wasn't sure I'd have time to sit down and finish writing my Wednesday Spotlight feature today. However, if there's one thing good music will do, it's focus my mind on the task at hand. Today I want to make sure everyone knows about I Am The Avalanche. They've got a brand of rock that rolls in with a chip on its shoulder. A swagger that says there's no need to hide behind studio trickery or over glossy production. I like that. It's exactly what I'm interested in at the moment.
After the split of The Movielife we saw the release of the band's self-titled album. That was in 2005. It wasn't until last year...
