I was lucky enough to watch a brilliant after-party show last night that included Brand New and The Front Bottoms. Brand New didn't really play a full set, but what they did play was awesome - some rarely played songs including "Flying At Tree Level." Head to the replies to check out the set list from the show and a video of the band playing "Sowing Season."

The Bamboozle's annual "The Break Contest" championships were recently held at the legendary Stone Pony and This Good Robot emerged as the winner.
From the PRRepresenting Long Island, New York, This Good Robot won the coveted prize, a performance slot on the main stage on Saturday, as well as additional performances during the festival, and other prizes when The Bamboozle celebrates its 10th anniversary on May 18-19-20 in North Beach Asbury Park, New Jersey. Since 2005, The Break Contest has been produced by LincStar Records and has served as the official unsigned band competition of the festival. Due to an emergency tonsillectomy for Travis Barker, Blink 182 has been forced to drop off of Bamboozle. My Chemical Romance has been named the replacement.

Update: All of the U.S. shows are cancelled, with only the OK dates being rescheduled. The European tour is still on.

ExcerptWe ended things a number of years ago and didn’t really talk that much. At the end there was a lot of disappointment and it was a weird situation for all of us and we just kind of walked away from it and didn’t actually stay in touch with each other that whole time. It was kind of like “we” were a sore subject for all of us. I was hanging out with Anthony [DiIonno] who was our bass player, and we both live in Manhattan now and he was talking about how Bamboozle is going back to Asbury Park this year. That has a lot of value for us because that was the...

This was pretty much lost in the chaos of last night ... but you can check out a video of John D (Bamboozle creator) explaining why Skrillex is technically headlining over Blink 182, in the replies. However, according to the poster found here, they're playing different days - the set times are probably like 15 minutes different, so who cares. I know, I know, you're going to care.

Seems like there's an issue between Bamboozle's John D. and the owner of the Asbury Lanes.

Coming directly from a press release (to avoid any of the previous insanity): Skrillex has been added as a headline performer to Bamboozle, joining previously announced headliners Bon Jovi and Foo Fighters and newly added main stage performers (blink-182 were announced earlier this month) include Incubus and Mac Miller.

To clear up some confusion about apparently "inaccurate confirmations" for Bamboozle: this post that Thomas made regarding artists came from the word search game The Boozler posted. According to them, they were given the ok to post this by the festival heads. The internet figured out the answers and Thomas posted them. It seems shit then hit the fan. Apparently this caused a lot of problems for The Bamboozle. While we have had a long relationship with the festival - it's totally their call to not want to work with us. I am not really understanding the why behind it ... but, there's not much I can do about that. However, we still really enjoy the work they do, love the bands...

fun., Jimmy Eat World, Bayside, The Used, We Came as Romans and Pauly D will all play Bamboozle according to the word scramble game put on by The Boozler tonight.
