My Favorite Highway Touring Update

My Favorite Highway will be embarking on a two week west coast stint with Hellogoodbye, Fun, & Limbeck following their month long run with The Cab. See below for the official press release.
Press ReleaseMy Favorite Highway plan to finish summer vacation with Hellogoodbye on their end of summer west coast tour! My Favorite Highway Joins Fun And Limbeck As Support On Late Summer Outing After Wrapping Tours With Ace Enders and The Cab- Debut Album "How To Call A Bluff" Out Now

(New York, NY - June 16, 2009) - Virgin Records pop-rock quartet MY FAVORITE HIGHWAY has announced plans to join Fun and Limbeck as supporting acts for Hellogoodbye on their "End Of Summer" tour beginning August 13th in Tempe, AZ through August 27th in Orangevale, CA (full schedule below). The Washington DC based band have become summer road warriors, they started their road trip at Bamboozle in May before touring with Danger Radio and Stereo Skyline and will be out with Ace Enders until June 28th and with The Cab July 5th through August 9th. Their debut album How To Call A Bluff was released on May 5th.

"Playing live shows and interacting with the fans is our favorite part about being in a band, so we're thrilled to continue our summer tour with Hellogoodbye," said frontman David Cook.

My Favorite Highway recently shot the video for their first single "Say So," based on the popular Eighties movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off. The catchy, up-beat song will impact Top 40 radio in July. Alternative Press named My Favorite Highway 1 of 100 bands to watch in 2009, saying "If the polished power-pop and fresh-faced press pictures are any indication, quartet My Favorite Highway could be speeding down the same road of radio singles and success that the All-American Rejects and Boys Like Girls have enjoyed."

Before signing with Virgin Records, the suburban Washington, DC-based group, comprised of David Cook (vocals, piano, guitar), Will Cook (bass), Bobby Morgenthaler (drums) and Pat Jenkins (guitar, vocals) independtly released two ep's and the full length How To Call A Bluff. They've sold over 100,000 individual track downloads and have had songs placed on popular MTV shows "Newport Harbor," "The Hills" and in the trailer for the latter spin-off "The City." The Virgin Records release produced by Paul Barber, and mixed by Jeff Juliano (John Mayer, Lifehouse, OAR) has been re-mastered with two additional new songs.

To date, My Favorite Highway has over 6.2 million plays on myspace and nearly 50,000 friends on the social network site. They are also active on facebook and twitter

What part of the bay do you live in? Stockton isn't that far outside of the bay and Orangevale is around 2 hours away which is a good excuse to get your friends and take a road trip, you can come home that night as well easily. (I do it all the time)

No Baltimore? I guess I'll have to go to the one in Seattle.

Limbeck is on the strangest tours. They should be opening for Wilco and Ryan Adams.
